Richard was extremely accommodating for us, we booked very 'last minute' for only 1 night and got a reply within 10 minutes. We arrived late and left early so didn't really have time to enjoy their lovely unit, but it was just as advertised, quiet and private. We would go back again. Thank you.
They made us feel really at home, even helped us with the extra mattress because our friend decided to come along on the trip at the last minute!
Cosy and nice apartment! Definitely recommend!
My family and I had a lovely stay with Richard and Helen.
They were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home.
The place was clean and well set up.
The neighbourhood was quiet and not too far from town.
I highly recommend this space.
My parents had a great stay in Caloundra and appreciated the independent 'granny flat' on the property. The hosts were very friendly, responsive and accommodating and we've already recommended the place to other relatives coming to the area for family reasons. It was an extra bonus being able to park their car off the street right by the unit.
Richard was a welcoming host. The Granny flat was very private, set in a tropical garden. It is well suited to people with mobility problems. The bedroom photo was accurate, but we were happy that we took our own pillows.
The WIFI was not available, even though we checked with Richard on the name and password.
The kitchen had no oven, but did have a microwave and a cook top. The fridge had many opened bottles of sauce etc. (and an opened bottle of wine. which appeared to have been left by other guests. The freezer was nearly full of food, apparently owned by our host family.
The hosts were welcoming without being intrusive. I believe this is a great base for discovering the beauty of the area. The property is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending this property

About the Host, Richard
I am originally from New Zealand and my wife Helen is from the UK. We have lived in Caloundra for the last 30 years so this is well and truly home. We both enjoy travel, meeting fellow Travellers and discussing all the adventures and places that Travellers enjoy.
I work running my own business and Helen is a nurse at a local aged care facility.
Our other interests include our 1963 Ford Thunderbird which is great for a bit of weekend cruising. We also enjoy a little amateur Astronomy and given a nice clear evening I can be encouraged to get out the telescope for a bit of stargazing.
Good food, a glass of wine and good friends always make for an enjoyable time so why not come and join us, we'd love to have you stay.
