The Space

This is a ENTIRE HOME/APT, not just only a room!
This apartment is located at the residential / urban district, Sai Wan Ho. Featured with stylish furnished and located in the east side of Hong Kong Island. Most importantly, you can see a nice Victoria Harbor view overlooking the Kowloon East. A 26 square meters (280 square feet) condo comes with a real double bed, a three seated DAY BED, a hot shower bathroom, an open kitchen with gas stoves with all facilities, desk, bedding linen and towels provided, etc.

A no-frills budget stay in a clean, comfy, tidy and safe environment. My helper will come twice times a week (if requested) in the afternoon to do simple clean up.

Two person occupancy with an extra kid maximum.

1. Catch the Star Ferry from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui at night.
The harbor, the breeze, the lights, it is probably one of the most romantic experience you can find anywhere.

2. Go to the PEAK or ICC100 to see HK from the high point.
3. Visit Temple Street for night market.

4. Sai Kung seafood dinner. Try the set meal first, a la carte might hit you with BIG bills.

5. Cable car to Big Buddha in Lantau, after go to Tung Chung for outlet shopping.

6. Morning tram ride from East Hong Kong to Sheung Wan, afterward go to morning DIM SUM breakfast in that area.

7. Catch 2.30pm onwards special "Pineapple bum + butter" afternoon tea set in Hong Kong style coffee shop.

8. Visit Macau to try your luck. Day trip is okay, jetfoil runs 24 hours.

9. Go Lan Kwai Fong in central for a clubbing night.

10. (email hidden) for brand-name goods.

My helper and I will be at your service and I just live two blocks away.

The Neighborhood

Just only a leisure 5 mins walk to Cityplaza in Taikoo Shing and Kornhill Plaza (both MTR assessable), with big supermarket. 24-hours convenience shops, pharmacies, Chinese restaurants, wet market, fruit market, HK style local cafe, movie theaters are just short walk away.

Next to the building, there is the famous "Tai On Building". It has been a place for local HK snacks and some people driving their expensive car to taste the food stall here. This street level food and shopping mall you should not miss ... for example HKD 18 for a wonton soup noodle, mini-car noodle (車仔麵), congee/steamed rice roll/Beef mix-mix, mini-egg-cake (雞蛋仔), deep fried pig's intestine ... the most tasty yummy and evil local food are all there. Michelin Stars restaurants is nearby and lots of dinning choices at Soho East district. Hong Kong is a gourmet paradise, you can CLICK "open rice" at (website hidden) for check up and study.

For more cultural side in the neighborhood, there is Sai Wan Ho Harbor Park; Hong Kong Film Archive and Sai Wan Ho Cultural Centre are very near by.

In Summer, you can even easily get to SHEK O beach, Shek O Beach is a sandy public beach at Shek O. It is a popular weekend and holiday destination, offering a public barbecue area and many restaurants. The rocky cliffs provide an excellent place for sports climbing. Around one mile north of Shek O beach, after passing the Shek O Country Club, is Big Wave Bay. As its name suggests, big waves roll on to the beach, propelled by the wind, making it a popular destination for surfers. Wind surfers can be found in the sea off Big Wave Bay and Shek O beaches. Take a taxi, mini-bus or a direct bus from Shau Kei Wan bus station will go there.

  • Vic's apartment was excellent for its style, comfort, and location. Vic is an excellent host providing lots of information about the local area, and was a safe bet should we have needed anything during our stay - which we didn't because the apartment is amazing!

Really well appointed, and for a relatively small space we always felt like we had room to spread out and relax. And the view of the harbour is wonderful - seeing Kowloon at night from there is cool.

The area is perfect for quick access to Central (and therefore Kowloon), and to the beautiful beaches in the south east of the island. It also boasts many local cultural hotspots, like the Hong Kong Film Archive (showings most afternoons), a sports centre (take your passport for ID), and lovely new world food options in the new Soho harbour area a few minutes away on foot. Sai Wan Ho is a real Hong Kong place to be.

What's more, just around the corner from the apartment is a 7-11, a Japan Home Store, a Welcome supermarket, an awesome hole-in-the-wall steamed goods place (can't remember the name, but we'll never forget the dumplings) and a Cafe de Coral for a proper Chinese fast food chain.

Great place. We'd stay again without hesitation.

  • Our stay at Vic's apartment is a good experience.. Thanks to the big windows which brightens up the whole room. One could even view sunrise from one side of the windows. The kitchen facilities, including washer/dryer and iron board are very helpful and makes our staycation a really homely experience!

  • We stayed at Victor's condo for 2 weeks and we could not have been happier with our experience. Everything came as described and there were no unexpected surprises.

Victor was the perfect host. He was very friendly and accommodating; it was great to actually get to meet him. We arrived very late (after midnight) and Vic's maid, Risa, was kind enough to wait for us. It was extremely easy to communicate with them and they were always quick to respond to any questions that we had.

One day we had some issues with the Wi-Fi and Vic hopped in a taxi and showed up within 30 minutes to resolve the issue. Afterwards, we bumped into him again on the street and he gave us useful advice for getting around the city from that area.

The location was perfect for getting around as it was steps away (all within a block) from all types of transport: Buses, Taxi, Ding Ding and MTR. We liked that it was a residential area but was not lacking in any sort of conveniences.

As for the unit itself, we loved having a kitchen with all the necessary amenities. When we were tired and just needed a day to rest it was great to have everything there. The entertainment/media corner was also very nice. Good selection of premium channels.

Main room is nice, it felt very open and comfortable. It was unfortunate that the building was under renovation during our stay as there was scaffolding around the building. The impact on our stay was minimal though. The bathroom was nice and large for HK standards and there were no issues with getting hot water.

During our 2 week stay, we had Risa come once to provide fresh towels. She tidied up the apartment quite nicely as well.

I highly recommend staying at Victor's apartment if you ever visit HK. We will probably stay here again when we come back!

  • Place was great and Vic's helper was really (website hidden) me with a key and did not pressure me about anything. Good location close to the subway and easy to jump around Hong Kong. Shower was nice and hot and wifi was crazy fast compare to mainland China. Would stay again.

  • Clean and Cosy place. Convenient location. Helpful and responsive host. Enjoyed the stay. Thanks Vic!

  • I did not have a chance to meet Vic, but his helper Risa was very accommodating. The condo had everything you need. Vic contacted me to make sure everything was alright, and if I had any issues. His helper or him was only a phone call away. Great view of the city and harbor. The place was very clean and had everything I needed, from Wifi to Apple Airplay. The only downside was the express elevator was broken and had to take the elevator that stops on every floor. During morning and evening hours, it took forever for the elevator to come. When you are going up, it felt like a sardine can when everyone trying to get on. Other than that, I would stay at Vic's place again in the future when I'm in HK

  • Thank you Vic for letting us stay at your Condo during our recent stay in Hong Kong. Beside providing us with a comfortable, well appointed place with all the convenience one can look forward to away from home, Vic's Seaview Condo is perfectly located to allow me to visit with my mother who lived a few minutes' walk away.
As a bonus, my husband and I got to witness an incredible lightening show playing over both sides of the Hong Kong harbor through the 17th floor windows during the recent freak heavy rain and thunder storm that sent down over 30mm of rain in an hour.

Thanks for everything. Until next time ... Lily

  • Did not get to meet Vic, but his maid Risa helped us to get settled in a small, but nice condo. Room was well stocked with everything needed, and more. The building was undergoing outside renovation with scaffolding & netting, so check first. Vic was very accomodating, every step of the way, asking us is everything was o.k., etc. Also, you are right in the heart of a neighborhood with many many quaint shops and street vendors, BUT there is also a Pizza Hut & McDonalds within 1 1/2 blocks.

  • Excellent stay...actually still staying there. We now calling this our second home away from home.
Clean and got everything you need there. Vic (email hidden). He honestly think of everything. He will help you with anything you need.
Great location, very near to MTR station and you can flag a taxi literally right outside the front door.

Hello, I am Vic, I am a semi retired graphic designer living in Hong Kong. I love traveling to other country to seek different life city style and to learn their culture. I treat this as my hobby. I try to make friends and help them for their stay in the city as a "home away from home". My collection of privately owned apartments are: seaview apartment in Hong Kong; riverfront condo in Bangkok and city-view apartment in Tokyo, they could be just the locations you are looking for on your next visit. They are all with a nice view, great nearby with metro on the door step. You can view detailed descriptions and pictures of my properties here as well as check availability. Please contact me first to double check availability, or if you have any questions. I look forward to welcoming you! HONG KONG: BANGKOK: BANGKOK: TOKYO: TOKYO: I wish you a happy trip and stay!
