After 4 nights in the flat with my mother I have the following:
Shapan is a good host, always able to help and asking if everything is ok.
The location is very central, with the buses 64 and 40 every 5min we could go to every main place of the city.
Cheap options of restaurants around.
The room and bathroom are clean, the bed comfortable and hot shower.
The street is very noisy, hard to sleep even with the windows closed.
I didn't feel safe in this area at night to walk alone.
The lack of wifi was difficult to lead.
It's a good option for a short stay (2days max) and mainly to the ones that have to take train or flight in the early morning.
Let me make an audit of the property cause I also have a couple of flats and to be honest I'm aware of the details. So first thing is Shapan is nice and welcoming person who tries to make you feel comfortable. No light at all. And no WIFI/how come no WIFI in 21st century?!/ The windows has been blocked by doors from outside. These doors had a chain and has been locked. The neighborhood is challenging and many drunk people staying on the streets. Shapan requests city tax/per person per day - 2 euro/ and gave me the receipt when we were leaving the flat.
It was cheaper but I would rent another room next time.
Nice place to have a rome stay, host is friendly and communicative, recommended!
Staying at Shapan's house was great! Everything in the house was very clean and looked wonderful. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. It is very close to the train station and metro. Shapan was very hospitable and friendly and he was always in for a good talk. He gave us all kind of advice and information about Rome. When we arrived he made us a lovely welcome drink and gave us a map of Rome where he showed us some restaurants, metro stations and a supermarket. If we ever come back to Rome, we would definitely choose for his place!!
