I rent my apartment only when I'm out of town for work, so I will be away when you arrive and during your stay. As you can see from the reviews, this has not posed a problem for past guests. I am always very available and responsive to all questions and communication via email, iMessage, Whatsapp, text message or phone.

The Neighborhood

The loft is 2 blocks from BEDFORD Ave in WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn. This means it is located out of the clutter and noise of Bedford Ave, yet a 2-minute walk will put you at the epicenter of Williamsburg's restaurant and shopping scene.

About Williamsburg, Brooklyn: This is one of New York's most vibrant and exciting neighborhoods-- tons of boutique designer shops, vintage stores, some of the top-rated restaurants in NYC, organic food stores, independent coffee shops, weekend flea markets, farmers markets, art galleries, coffee shops, Brooklyn Bowl, McCarren Park (with running track), wine bars, beer gardens, all sorts of bars, live music venues, movie theaters, etc. All of this is outside the doorstep of my loft.

Getting around

- 1 block from the BEDFORD L SUBWAY STOP in WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (that means only 1 stop away from Manhattan's East Village)

  • The apartment is very spacious and airy for a one-bedroom, with a great view. We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. The front door is a little forbidding (because it was originally an industrial building) but the apartment is quite pleasant. It seems to be a quiet floor, with unobtrusive neighbors. The apartment is in an ideal area of Brooklyn and very close to the subway. I would recommend it without hesitation.

  • The space was exactly as described/pictured! Gorgeous and spacious apartment with a great rooftop to get some sunshine. The neighborhood was adorable and conveniently close in walking distance to a friend from college's place, the shuttle we took each day to the music fest we were in town for, and plenty of great coffee shops and restaurants. Diana was incredibly accommodating, letting us check in hours earlier than her usual time and even helping with directions and suggestions. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make breakfast each morning, and the air mattress Diana brought to replace the one that had a slow leak was obscenely comfortable! It was also a huge plus to have a set of keys for everyone in our group in order to accommodate different schedules coming and going.

  • We stayed at Diana’s loft for the weekend with some friends and had a wonderful time. This was my first air bnb experience and Diana was helpful and very prompt in responding to my questions. Her loft is in such a great spot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and was about a block away from the closest subway station – It was really convenient to get into the city. The loft was surrounded by some great shops, boutiques and coffee spots. We loved Diana’s artwork and eclectic range of books - it added so much character and made the loft incredibly beautiful and unique.

Just had a few notes on a couple other things – The wifi stopped working the day after we arrived and wasn’t fixed until the day we checked out. It made it a bit inconvenient for us as we were from out of the country and were relying on wifi during our stay. Also, we felt as though the place was a bit small for our group (there were 5 of us). It was a tad bit tight in terms of sleeping arrangements and one of the air mattresses also had a slow leak in it – however, Diana said that she would replace that.

Overall, it was a beautiful place and very convenient. We had a great time!

    Response from Diana:

I'm happy you liked your stay overall, Natasha, and sorry about the wifi. As my place is not a hotel, these issues are a bit out of my control. Like any other home, if the internet goes out on a weekend and the provider can't send a tech person to fix it until Monday, there isn't much I can do. Unfortunately, this was the situation that arose-- the internet went out on a Saturday, and the Internet provider couldn't send out a tech person to fix the problem until Monday, which unfortunately, was the day that you checked out. All of the coffee shops in the neighborhood have wifi though. I would've been happy to offer you a suggestion but I though you all had already found one since you didn't ask. In any case, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The one leaking air mattress has been replaced with a roll-out twin cot now. Thank you for your stay!

  • Great clean place in the heart of Williamsburg. One block away from the L metro to Manhattan on Bedford Av. It's big and full of light. You should definitely also check out the big terrace on the roof.

  • We had a wonderful time in Diana's Appartment. It is clean, spacious with a lot of personality. It is ideally located near the Bedford Station, direct to Union square and in the middle of the hype restaurants, shops, bars... Diana was very reactive, accomodating and communicative. We would return without any hesitations and I highly recommend this place!

  • Diana's place was clean, cozy and spacious for the three of us, the bed-sofa comfortable. Everything is as in the pictures and more. Diana has an amazing library of an international working and travelling woman. What I really adored about the location is being able to hop on the ferry over to Manhatten and/or hang out in Brooklyn to discover all the cool bars, restaurants, shops and galleries. Loved the weekend fleamarket! Thank you for sharing your place.

  • it's an awesome place. wish I could have stayed longer - or just live there. 1 block from the Driggs exit of the Bedford L station, hipster ground zero, but totally peaceful and quiet.

The apartment is warm, comfortable and charming. It is near the tube, great coffee shops, a cinema and a neighbourhood that has charm and feels safe.

I stayed with my 8 year old and a friend from london. We all loved it and had an amazing time.

About
Hello, everybody! I am a photographer/writer who also spent years as a humanitarian aid worker, employed by major international organizations (UN, Oxfam, Save the Children, etc.) responding in areas affected by natural disasters or conflict. I travel a lot -- sometimes on very short notice -- and I rent out my home while I'm gone. Once upon a time, I was also an aspiring painter, which is what first brought me to Williamsburg over ten years ago, back when artists flocked to the neighborhood's cheap rents. The neighborhood has changed drastically since then, becoming one of New York's most sought-after, full of unique restaurants and bars, boutique stores, flea markets, music venues, etc. My home is a loft in an original industrial factory building that was one of the first in the neighborhood to be renovated and converted into residential living spaces. It provides modern comforts while still retaining the original details and character of historic industrial Williamsburg. ***I speak English, French, Spanish and Romanian so you may communicate with me in any of those languages.
