This is a %100 private room with Lock and key situated in the heart of Williamsburg. The room is at the front of my Art/Design studio that I share with my Mom. Inside your room is a kitchenette with microwave - fridge- Kettle - toaster. There is a 40 Inch flat screen TV with cable and WiFi and a fold down couch that is bigger than a double bed and very very comfortable. There is a small window which opens for air. My Mom has a living space towards the back of the studio which is a large distance from your room so you will feel quite private. The bathroom has a shower and toilet and is shared with my mom. There is a golden retriever and siamese cat that live with my mom. They are very friendly but do not enter the shared space other than to exit for walks. We are 5 min walk to the Williamsburg Market and East River Ferry and 6 blocks down Bedford ave to the L train. 3 stops to Union Square. You are also 2 mins from the Williamsburg bridge which you can walk or ride across to the Lower East Side. Williamsburg has just been crowned the music and art capital of New York State. If you are younger than 40 and want to get a real taste of New York then this is where you need to be. I am an Australian who has been living here 2 years now and am often over seas which is when i rent out my place. As some one who came initially on a holiday myself I urge you to check this area out even if you don't stay with me. PLEASE NOTE- THIS IS A NY BASEMENT LOFT ART DESIGN STUDIO. Please don't expect a central park penthouse.

Every soul must be included in the confirmation. Children and Babies included.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Tiny room, tiny. But could be considered adequate when one's budget is quite tight. The hosts are quite nice & friendly, greeted me in person at the appointed hour. It's quite far south near the Williamsburg Bridge -- it is therefore about equidistant from the Bedford Ave stop on the L and the Metropolitan Ave stop. If you have heavy luggage, def try and take a taxi or a local 'black' car. Bathroom and shower adequate, fairly clean apparently.

  • This is a great place to stay in NY if you're looking for something nice for a good value. You have a comfy bed, a huge TV (a bit too huge for my eyes), a frige, a microwave, fast internet ... and you're in a very nice area. Ok the place is small but when you're in NY you will not stay in your bedroom.
You have to share the bathroom with 2 other guest room, it is sometines annoying, because you have to wait but it is ok. It is also a bit noisy because of the boiler I guess but I slept very well during two weeks as I was tired by walking all day.
Finally, the most amazing thing about this place is June. She will make you feel at home and do her best to take care of you but only if you need to. She is adorable and very nice.

  • Clean and secure, a nice place to crash for the night and a friendly host.

  • My stay here was wonderful. June is a great host. The area is in the heart of Williamsburg, and a very quick subway ride to Manhattan. The space itself is small but comfortable. The wifi signal is strong and I was able to log online as often as I needed.

  • June the host was really helpful, and we really enjoyed her company at the apartment. however, just a heads up, especially for people with luggages, this room is small, really small and will fit only one person. my friend and I had difficulty maneuvering around especially with our stuff. the bed is comfortable, the toilet is clean, however, the floors are slightly dirty, but nothing slippers can't solve. although the apartment is in a very safe area, however, the 15 minutes walk from the subway (Bedford Av) was really sucky.. however Bedford Av is a really convenient station. would recommend this apartment if you are travelling alone and don't mind 15 minutes walk from the subway. THANK YOU JUNE!

  • Quiet warm and friendly place. All that you need for your tourist stay in NY.

  • This budget basement room was perfect for one night. The bed is comfortable and there is a mini fridge, microwave, plates, cups, silverware, and a closet. There is also a window up by the ceiling that can be opened if it gets too warm. The bathroom is down the hall and is shared, but very clean and was never occupied by anyone else the whole time we were there. We would definitely stay here again. Also, June is very lovely...just the right amount of attentiveness when needed.

  • We really enjoyed at Junes. She was extremely helpful and friendly but not intrusive. Great value in a really good location with lots of shops and restaurants around. Close to a subway which makes it really easy to get around. Safe neighbourhood bustling with activity.

I (Vincent) am a UK born Australian fashion designer who lives between NYC and London. Had a past life as a professional dancer & actor. Love Kite Surfing and Glitch Hop. Alice is a born and bred Melbournian, a professional dancer, with a love of graphic design. June is my mum, from the North of England, who migrated to Perth Western Australia when i was young. She was a costume designer and now an artist living in Brooklyn. We are all Vegetarians, don't smoke and are not big drinkers but love to have fun. We have travelled a lot together and believe it's all about the journey, not the destination. I like to get lost and discover things off the beaten track.
