Welcome to 1919 Spanish Casita (our guesthouse). It was finished in 2020 (built from the ground up) and has a main room, kitchenette, one bedroom and a full bath. The kitchenette is equipped with a small dishwasher, electric range with an induction cooktop (with an air fryer feature), microwave and refrigerator. There is a full-size washer and dryer in the bathroom closet.

The space
Our space is modeled after the Spanish Eclectic style of the main house on the property (originally built in 1919). The Casita is 100 years NEWER than the main home though you would never guess with its matching (and very carefully engineered) exterior. There is a shared yard between both structures, but it still feels like your own space to temporarily call home. The Casita stands as its own structure behind the detached garage. It has complete privacy. Inside there is a main room for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing in the area; making dinner together; cuddling up for a movie; and even converting the small dining space into a home-away-from-home workspace or second sleeping area. The main room has a couch pull-out queen bed. The bedroom has a queen bed as well as another couch pull-out queen bed. A perfect space for couples or small traveling families. A Pack-n-Play and high chair are available upon request. (Please mention if you need it before your arrival.) Our property backs up to a busy street (like the other dozen historic homes in our city), but you would never know when the doors and windows are closed. The commercial grade insulation and double-paned windows are THAT good! We're on a half-acre lot. You're welcome to explore the yard behind the Casita as well as use the playground behind the main house.

Guest access
Guests have full use of the Casita. Parking is available on the street.

This is a separate structure from the main house (original structure on the property). The Casita has complete privacy and access to plenty of yard space for your kids to run around. They're welcome to play on the playground behind the main house too.

Other things to note
There is a minimum fine of $250 for evidence of prohibited pets and smoking on the property. There is also a charge for any missing items at the current replacement value.

***Third-party reservations are not allowed. Guests not on the reservations are not permitted on the property. Violation of this policy will result in a $150 per day per visitor or booking cancelation. ***

***Unfortunately, we are unable to host any events including baby showers and bridal showers in the Casita along with its yard space. Our city's short-term rental ordinance does not permit such activities.***

Neighborhood highlights

Placentia is an All America City. We're in a quiet bedroom community. There are lots of young families and also original owners who bought their homes in the late 1960s/early 1970s when the city was first developed. Our home is within walking distance of a Starbucks, Chipotle, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, McDonald's and lots of other local eateries (which will be provided to you upon arrival). Whole Foods is just a few minutes away in Brea. Bristol Farms is a little further in Yorba Linda. Downtown Fullerton shops are 15 minutes away. Placentia is a neat spot to stay with being so close to so many Southern California attractions. It's only 15 minutes from Disneyland; just across the 57 freeway from Cal State University Fullerton; seven miles north of Chapman University (and off the same surface street); 40 miles from downtown Los Angeles; 90 miles from San Diego; next door to Fullerton/Brea/Yorba Linda; and 20 miles away from Orange County beaches which are some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
