House rules
This place isn’t suitable for infants (0–2 yrs) and the host doesn’t allow pets or parties.
"The 34" is a cozy one bedroom/one bath metal cabin on 34 acres with coastal hayfields, wooded areas, 3 ponds and lots of wildlife. This is a quiet place, far from the main road, no close neighbors. You can stop in town for supplies, only a 5 minute drive to the "Finer Foods" store, or make a quick trip to Muenster and visit Fischer's Meat Market for amazing steaks, German bratwurst & specialty cheeses. Cook something on the charcoal grill (you will need to bring charcoal/lighter fluid)

The space
The queen size bed is a new, quality mattress with clean linens and comforter. If you have a kiddo or just a third adult that's not quite as particular about the sleeping arrangement, there is also a futon couch in the living room that could accommodate another adult or a child. Linens can be provided for the futon as well. There is potential for additional space to be arranged at additional cost, in the form of a camper with another regular bed and couch. This must be arranged in advance as it is not always there.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to roam the property by foot, but we request that you do not drive any motorized vehicle on the coastal hayfields as this is part of our income.

Other things to note
Dishes such as coffee cups, plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, knives, cutting board, can opener are provided. Please be kind enough to clean up after yourselves. A dish brush, dish soap, dish towels and a drying rack will be provided. THERE WILL BE A $25.00 CHARGE for us to do your dirty dishes!

Please also do not put food down sink. This property is on a septic system, so if you would please scrape plates in the trash before washing plates, it would be greatly appreciated.

We will provide trash bags and please put your end of stay trash in the covered metal trash can.

Your assistance is appreciated!

I am a Texan by choice! I was born in Germany, but have lived in the US for about 12 years, all in Texas. I am fluent in German and English. I am a Master Mechanic by trade, and spent many years working on Mercedes and Harley Davidsons. I am a lover of vintage Mercedes and bikes (mostly Harleys and motocross) and can sometimes provide assistance in finding one if you are looking. My girlfriend, Belinda, and I decided to host when we acquired this new property, as it is so pretty and we are always saying how glad we are that we don't live in the "big city" and how much we enjoy it out here in the country. We have a small farm we live on here in Nocona, where we have a few longhorn cows, a donkey, dogs and chickens! We also enjoy our visitors from all over the world so much, and would enjoy meeting even more new people, so we thought we would give this a try. We may add more experiences later, but can certainly point out good places to ride by providing you with a mapped route,as we love our Harley rides. I am also a big fan of fishing, so can offer some advice in that area as well. Just pointers, not a guide service. Belinda is passionate about animals. If you'd like to visit us here at the farm and meet the critters, feed the donkey some carrots, or have some fresh eggs for your breakfast, that can also be arranged.

During your stay
We are less than 15 minutes away, if needed. If you are coming from Europe, Franz is a native German and as such, is fluent in Deutsch. We can't promise to be available constantly, but are usually around. Prior to your arrival or during your stay, we are happy to recommend places to visit, places to shop for supplies, activities that might interest you, and can even recommend routes for nice mountain bike rides, motorcycle rides, motocross tracks, or whatever you might be interested in seeing in our little town, which is also known as the "Classic Car Capitol of Texas" and, depending upon time of year, offers car shows and auctions, Mardi Gras, and nearby Muenster offers Germanfest and Saint Jo has the famous "Rednecks with Paychecks" festival. The "World's Largest Casino", WinStar, is less than an hour drive as well.
