The apartment of modern design, equipped with every comfort it is situated in the heart of the Historical Center in Syracuse, the island of Ortigia, place chosen by the Greeks to found the city.
The apartment is placed at the first floor of an ancient building situated in a characteristic and calm alley , a few steps by Cathedral 'Square , where the splendid Cathedral can be admired, built on the rests of a Greek temple of the V century B.C., and less than 300 meters away from the Source Aretusa, a source of sweet water wound in the legend and symbol in Syracuse since the antiquity.
Only few meters and you can also visit the Building Bellomo' s Museum and the stately Castle Maniace, which rises on the extreme point of Ortigia. Lcd Tv, parquet, whirpool ' shower are only some of the many comfors of the apartment. For the one that loves the sea and the sun to less than 300 mt it will find a new free solarium on the wonderful ortigia's sea . For the one who loves the kitchen there is only to lose between the myriad of typical places of the island.

Antonio welcomed us outside the apartment and helped us with our bags. He showed us the apartment and told us were the nice spots were in syracusa to eat or go to the beach. He was always available to answer the phone and answer any questions we had. The apartment was nice, had everything we wanted. Even WIFI! Antonio made sure there was a dvd player for us. You are in the middle of Ortigia and restaurants and bars are within 5 minutes reach. It was the best appartment we could have in Syracusa / Ortigia. Thank you Antonio!
We arrived late into Ortigia having flown to Trapani and had to wait for our car to arrive from Palermo so by the time we got to the town we had to find the right parking areas which are about a 15 minute walk with your bags and a 10 minute one without. The communication with Antonio was great and his friend Andrea was kind enough to meet us and take us to the apartment.
It's a great place in a quiet back street in the heart of a very beautiful town. There was enough room for two of us and the bed is incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is as you see it. We didn't cook because there were some great restaurants one in particular is the French one round the corner, it's fantastic and we ate there two nights out of three. Ortigia is fabulous, it's market is great there are some great bars and the square is brilliant to sit in and people watch especially at the weekend. Would definitely go back again. A great base to drive to Noto, Modica and Ragusa all are very special places.
Thanks Antonio for letting us stay at the apartment we had a great time.
The apartment was well-located and it was easy to walk to everything. It was attractive. There were some small glitches, but Antonio was responsive and took care of things promptly. There is a great coffee bar around the corner with good wifi, coffee and wine. The cooking /pots and pans, knives could be improved upon, but if you're not cooking, it won't matter. We enjoyed our stay.
Really good place to stay in Syracuse. Antonio had great advice in where to go and places to eat.
We spent a wonderful week in Ortigia in the pop house. The apartment is really perfectly located (less than 100m to the central square with restaurants, cafés etc.) and with our Smart car we didn't even have a big problem finding a parking spot on the nearby church square (this may be different in the high season though). Since the apartment is in the middle of the old town, don't expect it to be very bright or airy though: the only openings are a small window in the bathroom and the (double) door which leads to a courtyard shared with neighbours. Nevertheless, we would stay there again!
