New Yorkers have found the strength to carry on this year, and the people of this city are my heroes. To honor NYC’s resilience, I’m inviting two locals from the same household to call Times Square home for one night and sleep in a cozy dome atop Nasdaq’s terrace. Under the New Year’s Eve ball, say GTFO to 2020 in style.
The space
With most of the world tuning into a livestream of the Times Square New Year’s Eve festivities this year, all I want is for you to be among the #beautiful few there IRL, dancing in the confetti showers right below the ball.
I’m no stranger to helping New York ring in the New Year, but this time it will be in a new role — as your host! You can be sure I’ll (virtually) bring all of my signature sparkle to the evening, and your ultra-luxe home on Nasdaq’s outdoor terrace will have everything you need for a fantasy New Year’s Eve, including:
-- A virtual personal welcome from me, Mariah Carey
-- An outdoor terrace with panoramic views of the sparkling crystal ball just meters away, and an igloo-like geodesic dome will keep you warm while still immersed in the action
-- A $5,000 shopping credit to use before your stay along NYC’s famous 5th Avenue or local Times Square shops for the NYE outfit of your dreams
-- A trunk full of sparkly New Year’s Eve accessories, like hats, 2021 glasses and horns, for the countdown
-- An indoor lounge where you can relax and watch New Year’s celebrations around the globe, adorned with local art by Jason Douglas Griffin, in collaboration with Brandon Friend and Jason Reynolds
-- Or, cozy up in the reading nook, stocked with my favorite board games, while you wait for the clock to strike midnight
-- A fully-stocked dining area, where you’ll find some of my favorite festive snacks, including Mariah’s Cookies
-- Dinner prepared by a private chef will be provided (along with cheesecake from Junior’s, naturally)

Life in New York City in 2020 was defined by the resiliency and sacrifices made by frontline workers -- and people across the globe were inspired by the bravery and contributions of these everyday heroes. To honor those who have sacrificed so much to protect New Yorkers during the COVID-19 crisis and their families, Airbnb will make a $250,000 contribution to 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East’s Employer Child Care Corporation, to help provide 1199SEIU’s frontline worker members with access to high-quality child care and youth programs.
Booking opens at 9am EST on December 21 for an overnight stay on December 31.

During your stay
While I won’t be there in person, upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by socially-distanced Nasdaq staff who will escort you to the terrace and ensure you know your way around. The terrace will then be yours to dance the night away, relax and unwind! A concierge will also be on call during your stay, should you need any assistance. We just ask that you wear face coverings and maintain social distance during any interactions with staff.
