I will welcome you with great pleasure in my house in Sousse, beautiful city by the coast of Tunisia.

The house offers 3 bedrooms, each one has its own balcony, and all with air con and heating.

We will share the common areas of the house, such as the main kitchen, home's heart, the living room and dining room, where we can enjoy nice discussions and relaxing moments around a sweet Tunisian tea or a traditional Turkish coffee.

The offer is breakfast included, however I can also prepare lunch and diner upon request. Extra meals cost 10€/meal.

I will cook you typical Tunisian dishes, as well as French, or Mediterranean, depending on your tastes!

Moreover, I can also organize cooking lessons, to teach you how to prepare the Tunisian dishes you enjoy the most, and then amaze your friends back home! Do not hesitate to contact me for more information about it.

Internet access is available, and there is also wifi connection in the house.

For travelers with a car, it is possible to leave your car in the garage, please inform me in advance about it.

My husband and I don't usually stay at B&Bs, but for our short trip to Sousse, we thought it would be a great way to connect with locals. We also hoped to get advice on the area as Sousse would be our launching point for a day trip to El Jem and Kairouan. Dar Omi did not disappoint! Rabaa is the consummate host -- truly old-world hospitality at its best -- and in addition to being a kind, fun-loving, and funny person. We also felt very secure and taken care of in a way that's hard to describe, and that we appreciated immensely. And yes, you should do dinner at her house, which we did both nights. General thoughts and observations about Dar Omi dinner: 1) it's a terrific culinary, cultural, and social experience, 2) the etiquette style was French, 3) it's probably better if you speak or understand at least a teensy bit of French (the language thing applies to visiting any country), though Rabaa is learning English and is also a terrific French instructor, as it turns out!

Rabaa's is a very special place, and anyone who happens upon it will be lucky to have the opportunity to spend time there. Aside from the pleasure of lodging in a clean and lovely home, the host is a very cultivated and gentile person, offering the kind of gracious hospitality rarely encountered in this day and age. I very much enjoyed my stay there and would be sure to stay there anytime I find myself again in Sousse--and might likely make the trip just to go there again.

I can't speak highly enough of Rabaa or my week long stay at her BnB. I've traveled extensively for both work and pleasure and I have never experienced a more welcoming or open environment than I had at Dar Omi. Her hospitality was beyond compare, even offering to personally show us some sights in the area. The conversation around the dinner table was reminiscent of family dinners growing up and the food was easily the best I had while in Tunisia. The house itself is well-kept and is a short taxi ride to Sousse's beaches, the Medina, and the souks. In short, if you haven't stayed here, then you haven't experienced the most accomodating, generous host that any B&B has to offer. You will leave feeling like you've made a lifelong friend.

If you would like a view of Tunisian life from the inside, I doubt you can do better than a stay with Rabaa at Dar Omi B&B. The rooms are attractive and clean, likewise for the shared bathroom. The lovely room I stayed in had its own terrace and hammock (but you may want to bring some earplugs as the neighbors’ dogs occasionally get noisy at night). Rabaa’s home-cooked dinners are superb and tailored to your requests, but the best part is her concern for the quality of your visit. After learning I was a violinist, she arranged for me to meet a Tunisian violinist whom she also invited to join us for dinner on the two evenings we played music and went to a concert together. Her home is not in the center, but it’s only a one euro taxi ride away, and she frequently offers a ride in as well as gets you to and from the train station. You’ll also meet the friendly members of her extended family who live nearby and frequently visit; her daughters speak English, but brush up on your French to get more out of your visit. Very highly recommended.

I had a fantastic time with Rabaa and her family. From the moment I arrived they made me feel like home and part of the family. The house is very spacious and I had access to a private bathroom as well as laundry facilities for the period of my stay. Sharing meals with the family whenever I had free time was great, meaning I would go on short daily trips from Sousse then head back in the evening and have dinner, lunch or breakfast with the family. My room had an air conditioner and a balcony with plenty of room plus there is a small fridge on the same floor in case you wake up at night and want some water or a quick bite. Rabaa and her family often go on short trips and have always offered to take me a long, a nice tour plus a good insight into the tunisian way of life. The old medina is a short taxi drive away and Rabaa sometimes drops me off and goes with me on a stroll. During the summer the neighborhood tends to have weddings which are great to see as you will probably be invited to one but if you're a light sleeper then don't forget to get some earbuds. Overall my experience was great and I would highly recommend staying at Dar Omi if you're looking for an affordable and welcoming place to stay while in Sousse.

I had the most amazing stay with Rabaa! She is so welcoming and made me the most amazing dinner and breakfast! She was really helpful where I needed directions or advice. Her house is beautiful and made me feel right at home. It's not the perfect location for the touristy spots, but it's great to get away from the hustle bustle and haggling in the city centre whilst still being only a 20 min walk to town. I would highly recommend a stay at Rabaa's!!
