Excellent location close to several Metro stations, a supermarket and many nice restaurants. The area is nice and pleasant to walk, conveniently located in the LES. The studio is a bit small but it's comfortable and gets a lot of sunlight, and the app to control the lights is pretty cool.
Really enjoyed the stay - Glenn's apartment is perfectly located and a great basic base. I was very comfortable.
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Glenn's apartment is great. It is one tiny block from the subway which takes you everywhere, one block from Whole Foods where you can get everything you need and a couple minutes walk from Little Italy and the same difference from 2nd and 1st avenue which have awesome restaurants. We barely left the neighbourhood!
The apartment is nice; it is spacious and clean. Our friend was staying at a hotel down the road and the room was a third of the size and $100 more a night! Glenn is right, the shower is amazing. More water pressure than we have at home!
We did get locked out one night so be careful not to touch the lower lock. But Glenn's helper Edwin was so helpful and friendly he left his family dinner and rushed over to let us in. Glenn was always immediately available by email as well.
The night time was surprisingly quiet during the week considering it has street facing windows, and on the weekend nights we just used earplugs and we had no problems.
If you want a spacious place in NYC for less than $150/night I would recommend Glenn's apartment to everyone!
There was little contact with our host, rather we spoke mostly with a friend of his. The friend made it very easy to get the keys and get into the apartment. The water was off for an entire day while we were there due to construction outside. While I understand that was not their fault, it was still rather unfortunate. Also, the place was slightly smaller than expected. The neighborhood was great.
