A lovely studio flat located in a quiet and friendly area of West London with very good transport links. A beautiful place right next to the River Thames. The privacy means you can make your own food and are free to come in and out as you please.
A lovely studio flat located in a vibrant and friendly area of West London with very good transport links. The privacy means you can make your own food and are free to come in and out as you please. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom and the living room is divided from the bedroom by a curtain. It is perfect for two to three people. There is a single bed and the sofa turns into a double bed so the choice is yours! I also have a spare camp bed so can accommodate up to four people if needed.
Provided: Bed linen and towels.
You have the whole studio flat to yourself. You can use the kitchen to prepare you own food freely and are free to come in and out as you please without the fear of disturbing anyone!
Interaction with Guests
I like to meet all my guests in person and normally pick up guests from the nearest station. Of course I will not be at the studio with you during your stay but I am always only a phone call away if you need anything!
I love my area, there are many nice places to visit nearby such as the beautiful Ravenscourt Park and the River Thames.
For entertainment the two local theatres (the Lyric Theatre and Riverside Studios) both put on great plays at great prices. Of course there is also the Hammersmith Apollo where many renowned events and concerts take place.
There are two shopping centres nearby, Kings Mall in Hammersmith and Westfield London (the biggest shopping centre in mainland Europe!) in Shepherds Bush. Chiswick High Street is also a nice place to do some shopping. In addition, there is a Tesco Express (a mini supermarket) that is open from 7am to 11pm daily, less than a two minute walk away!
As well as many cafes, there are also many international restaurants (Indian, Thai, Japanese, New Zealand, Italian, Chinese, Argentinian, North African and more) nearby on Kings Street and there are many traditional British pubs along the river.
The nearest stations are Ravenscourt Park (the closest) and Hammersmith (a few bus stops away). Ravenscourt Park is on the District line and Hammersmith is on both the Piccadilly line (goes direct to Heathrow) and the Hammersmith and City line. There is also the Hammersmith Broadway bus station with buses that take you all over London.
> 10 minutes to South Kensington

> 25 minutes to Heathrow Airport
*I also have a vintage folding bike and you are very welcome to use it if you prefer to cycle!
Turn off the heating (radiators) and electrical appliances (lights, TV etc) each time you leave the house.

Firstly, Kate was very friendly since the beginning. She gave me the directions to her flat and answered my questions very quick. Our flight was delayed and she waited for us for about 4h and she still welcomed us very lovely. About The flat it was very clean. In January is very cold in London and the heater worked very well, there's no heater in the bathroom though. It's very close to the underground station and has many stores/groceries around. There's a very nice smart tv. The accommodation fits three people (two sofa beds)nicely ( a couple and one more person) and very comfortable.
Absolutely I recommend her flat to everyone!
Kate is a wonderful host. She's kind and personable. Her flat is clean, big enough to stay a few days and equipped with all the things you need. Would definitely recommend, and will consider staying here again in the future.
We had a warmful welcome from Kate. The apartment is functional and had nearly everything we wanted/needed. It is well located in London, only a few minutes away from Underground/bus stations as well as a Tesco 7/11 store.
Kate is very friendly and a great host, her flat is cosy and had everything I needed. The location is excellent with only a short walk to the river Thames and Ravenscourt Park which was a priority for me when selecting somewhere to stay in London - along with being able to cook my own meals in her well equipped kitchen. There is a local Tesco just down the road and there are lots of great restaurants in the area too. With just a short 5 min walk to Ravenscourt Park Tube station (also it's very close to Hammersmith - walk or short bus ride) it's a great place to stay when visiting and site seeing in London. Thanks Kate!
I spent four nights in Kate's apartment with my brother. We didn't meet Kate until the last morning of our visit in her place because she was in another city but she had arranged her brother to take us from the nearest Underground station to her apartment. She also had sent us information on buses, tubes and everything to make sure we get there as easy as possible (although we didn't receive this information because of technological problems).
The apartment was everything we had expected and it provided everything we needed. It is everything it promises to be. The location is great and it's about 15 minutes from central London (we used the Underground). The neighbourhood is quiet and the only sound you really hear is children's laughter from the school across the street. That doesn't bother at all!
Oh, and when we finally met Kate... Let's put it this way. I personally am still a bit shy to have a conversation in English even though I think I write well. That's why my brother chatted more with her but she still managed to make both my brother and myself feel like we were her friends. She was friendly, vibrant, fun, nice, and genuinely interested in how our time in London had been.
We couldn't have asked for a better host. Strongly recommended.
Kate was communicative, prompt and friendly. We were told how to get to the apartment, how to enter and the process for leaving.
It was great. Thank you Kate!
Hello there, my name is Kate and I absolutely love travelling and meeting new people. I have had great experiences whilst travelling abroad and I would love to emulate those experiences by hosting people here in my own city. Have a look around and if you like what you see, hopefully see you soon!
