At last, building work on the courtyard facade is finished. Your stay will be peaceful!

The flat was perfectly location, organisation for keys was excellent.
Great apt in an excellent part of Paris. Rue de Rossiers boasts a number of felafel joints who claim to be the best in the world. King Felafel directly downstairs has as good a claim as any and solves family dinner problems instantly. The flat is small but not by central Paris standards, and is warm and cosy. The kitchen is lacking a few basics but nothing that a quick trip to Ikea by the owners wouldn't fix. However, our family of 5 we managed to cook and live well for 5 days in a marvelous part of Paris.
Avital is a wonderful and attentive host, she made sure I had all needed from start to finish.
The apartment is in the heart of the Marais - you truly feel like you are "in it" with Paris. Very easy walk to the St. Paul and M1 Metro line.
The challenge is that the apartment faces the street on the first floor, so it can be quite loud.
I would recommend this apartment for two couples or four people for a weekend. A week was too long - it's two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bath and a WC, so there was no common room to gather in.
I am sad to say that this was the poorest experience we have had with an apartment in Paris. The first indication that all was not well was that the building was shrouded in plastic and tarps and scaffolding. There was no warning that the building was under renovation, and the rate should have been reduced in recognition of that. Once inside, the first problem we encountered was a clogged bathroom sink. We had to telephone in order to get that dealt with. Someone came and poured a chemical down the sink which alleviated the clog somewhat, but ever did clear it up. The second problem was that the window in the toilet closet had no curtain. That might normally not be an issue, but in this case there was a worker on the scaffolding 15 centimeters away from the window. We had to find something to hang over the window just to have enough privacy to go to the bathroom. We must admit that the bed was comfortable. Also the windows facing the street were of good quality and capable of shutting out ordinary street noise. The location is also good. But apart from that, there is little left to say in its favour. It was absolutely bare bones. The towels were almost see through. The shower was the most temperamental I have ever encountered. The range of water temperature was cold to scalding, and unable to be regulated. In the main bedroom (living room) the ceiling light fixture was a bare bulb with a missing globe. In the second bedroom, the light dangled from wires. There was not a book or map or piece of artwork anywhere in sight. It did not have the feel of an apartment. It felt more like a stable for unwary travelers. The worst night of all was Saturday, a night before a travel day. Somewhere along the street, a loud band kept playing until 5:00 in the morning. The windows were useless in preventing the noise from penetrating the apartment, and we just stayed awake until they finally quit, allowing us about 3 hours of sleep before we had to get up and leave. This was the first time we had to pay the whole amount for the rental up from without even seeing the apartment. I see now what a mistake that is, and if that is standard procedure for Airbnb, that was our first and last experience.
Thank you Avital for a wonderful stay in Paris. Your apartment suited our requirements for a family of 4 perfectly, and was in a brilliant location close to everything. We found our beds to be very comfortable and the apartment nice and clean.
The apartment is very nice. We were 5 people and it was nice coming back to it at the end of the day for a rest. We also eat breakfast brought from the nearest boulangerie (there are several around)
It has an excellent location - 5 minutes walk from Notre Dame and near the metro.
This place is very central and the Marais is a lovely place to stay but let me say what no one else has said - it is located on top of a kebab shop on a very crowded street. Yes it's a bit tired and the floors are creeky but if you have a young baby, like we did the noise around you it will not be ideal.
Nice place, great street!!! Place is a little small, but it works ok, location is perfect!
Fantastic location! Beds were clean and comfortable. I read reviews about bringing earplugs, and that was a big help. The early morning garbage trucks are very noisy, but also a lot of construction was going on at the apt complex during our stay so lots of drills and dust in the hall starting at 8 AM. Bathroom could use a few hooks to hang towels up on and a shower head attachment.
Overall, Avitar was very helpful when we called her. She responded to a few needs (like sheets for the futon) without hesitation. She is a very gracious hostess. We did not find the night noise to be too bad. Hardly anything really. It's more a "shopping" district than a "party" district, like the Latin Quarters.
I would love to use this apt again, especially after all the construction is finished.
