Very good apartment and location. Excellent building and the hosts were also great. Thank you!
Gian communicated well with us regarding check in arrangements and met us shortly after our arrival. The room was as described and is very well located relative to the train station and to scenic attractions. The apartment is central and in a safe area. The only criticism was the air conditioning which had little benefit in the nearby room we slept in. It would be better if the unit was working and situated in the bedroom particularly in the very hot evenings over the summer. Otherwise the room was perfectly fine. Thank you Gian.
We were suprised how lovely flat was it. In center of Rome. Everything were prepared and Gian welcame us kind and friendly. I recomed these acomodation to my friends.
Apartment was great for our needs. The Internet did not work in the apartment but this was not an issue with Gian. Gian was very helpful and was very easy to communicate with over the phone. Great location next to the train station and walking distance to many major sights.
Good location: close to Colosseum and subway station; the distcance to Termini is a little farther than described.
Apartment is as good as described. Gian was very welcoming and responsive. Smooth check-in.
We didn't see much of Gian. Only when we arrived. We came fro Roma Termini and it was a 5 to 10 minute walk down the hill. We were early for check in but Gian managed to get over to let us in which was great. Gian was very helpful he gave us a city map and told us where the metro was. The flat couldn't be better placed. The Cavour station for the metro is just down the road and a ticket is only €1.50 for 100 minutes. So everything is within reach.
The apartment itself is decent. The sheets were fresh and clean and so we're the towels. A few downfalls were that the air conditioning unit is in the lounge area and isn't very strong so the bedroom was boiling. We left the door open and one night were woken at 5 am to the unit leaking water everywhere so had to then leave it off. It'd be so much better if Gian bought a new air con unit and put it in the bedroom.
The other issue is the toilet. It stinks. Also the seat is broken but worse than that the toilet isn't screwed to the floor so if you don't get the balance right the toilet falls over luckily I managed to catch or i dread to think what would've come out. But I can't fault it other than that. But if those two little things get sorted it'll be a great little apartment.
It is 4th floor but there is a lift so it's not an issue. Loads of restaurants nearby no noise from outside. But could hear upstairs in the morning and evening.
A few days before our arrival in Rome I messaged Gian to confirm arrival procedures and where he would be meeting us. Days went by with response so I sent another message...no reply. I attempted to call him and was either hung up on or the call was disconnected. I finally received a message just prior to our arrival outlining check in procedures. As per many of the reviews for this apartment we were not met by Gian and in this case it was Cristina who had just finished cleaning the apartment just after 3pm. Everything appeared ok at this stage however it didn't take a building expert to see this apartment has been renovated to a very poor standard. Within 30 minutes of our arrival my 3 year old son bumped in to an exposed water pipe in the entrance area and the cap on the end of the pipe which had been held on by a thin layer of silicone came off and water was spraying everywhere. I text messaged Gian and left a voicemail message outlining this fairly urgent issue and several hours later received a text from him wanting to know if we still had water. We were now dealing with the burst water pipe by wedging a bookcase against it to keep pressure on the cap and had buckets underneath it. I informed Gian we had water (too much!!) and didn't hear from him again for the entire 3 days. Other things to note: the toilet isn't secured to the floor, the shower screen is in poor condition and fairly dangerous (especially for children), washing machine was broken and even if it was working, there was nowhere to hang washing. In summary we are glad we went to Rome to see the sights but we couldn't wait to get out of this apartment.
