About This Listing
Have your privacy with our empty little apartment in the attic of our big house in the countryside. Children are "out of the house" and we have lots of space. The apartment has a bedroom that sleeps two. But we have other bedrooms available (if you dont mind the girlish and boyish stuff, that sits there). The apartment has a kitchen as well and its own little bathroom with shower and tub.
You will be alone in the house with just the two of us and our cat. You need a car as we live in a small quiet village of the Hunsrück area. We are located right between the rivers Rhein and Mosel. Vicky is a Cuban-American married to Hans, a pure German, for 30 years now.
We can provide linen and towels and breakfast and sauna and many tips for your sightseeing.
We 2 couples, planned this tour at the eleventh hour, hence were not optimistic for best stay options. However our entire trip was fantastic and the cherry on the cake being warmth and hospitality extended by Hans and Vicky. We loved:
1. Location of home and the scenery around (peaceful)
2. Beautiful interiors with complete privacy and space - exactly a stay we were looking for.
We loved the fact that the description is so precise and perfect. No exaggerations at all.
We missed meeting Vicky, but Hans & his Cat were wonderful hosts. His suggestions/ ideas surely helped us plan our trip better.
A home away from home in true sense.
We are glad, to have a successful trip in true sense, i.e. "Living in a country with the people of the country."
Best wishes to both of you.
Tip: Best way to plan a trip is to have a car and a flexible itinerary.
My husband and I are 29 and 28 years old and are currently traveling on a 1 month trip around Europe together. We booked a total of10 airbnb locations but this has also been our first airbnb experience. Our stay with Hans and Vicky was our first reservation. We didn't arrive to strangers or a hotel desk. We arrived to two people who already seemed to be friends. They took great care of us and made sure we got their safely. They welcomed us with a drink and a some traditional food which we loved! We had plenty of room and privacy and absolutely loved every second we were there. We wish we could have spent more time but hope to revisit them in the future.
Thank you Hans and Vicky for being such wonderful hosts! We're in Italy now and think of you every day because we can't get, "I'm Vicky and I like to garden" out of our heads haha : ) We are very lucky to have met you and thank you for all the inside scoop on the REAL castles! They were incredibly!

Even though the attic was a terrific place to stay, that was not the best part of our visit. Hans was a terrific host and made a fabulous effort to connect with us as if we were good friends. In fact I will say that he was indeed a good friend of mine from Germany.
it was NOT necessary, to _exaggerate_ so much :-) in your reference.
But if it is true... the better! - For ME, it is such a little effort to help, and for you guys it can be a big help so... why not do it this way.
I hope your tour was a successfull one. At the moment... we are suffering from the heat. We are having a very strange weather at the moment.
Greetings to your lovely family, that was a pleasure for me to host.
We had a wonderful time staying with Hans and Vicky. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We wish we could have stayed longer! The attic apartment had everything we could have wanted and was exactly as described. We highly recommend staying with them!
Hans and Vicky are friendly and helpful. Their place is a little out of the way, best if you have a car, but they really make you feel at home.
