Hello dear travelers.
I offer you this oportunity to spend a lovely time in Oslo, with my humble home as your base. It's situated in the quiet area Sagene/Bjølsen, which is a rather nice place close to the center, parks, cozy cafes and restaurants, and the rest of the city itself. Ten minutes walk, and you'll find Torshov, twenty and you're the king of Grünerløkka, with all it's small stores, places to eat and have a drink (cocktails!) and people to look at.
Public transport is also close by - Within walking distance 2-10 minutes, you have trams and buses, which includes the 54- and 37-line - Going home at any hour will be no problem, it runs all night through, every day. The central station is about 16 minutes by bus, or about 50 minutes if you care to go on a little stroll. The subway is also close by; just take the 37-bus or a walk by the river, upwards to the Nydalen station.
This listing is for the largest bedroom. You can also rent the whole apartment: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/770113
If you just want to relax, Bjølsen is a perfect spot. I love this place! Right besides the building, there is a local seafood place, where you can buy delicious ingredients; in the neighbouring street we got some nice cafés, a sushi place, a great restaurant, a fantastic thrift store with reasonable prices, a pizza place, a park, thousand or thereabouts different grocery stores.
The apartment itself got a pretty reasonable sized kitchen, a nice livingroom with a sofa where one of you can have a good nights sleep (this claim has been verified by quite a few travelers), a bathroom with a tub, and the bedroom with a 120cm big bed — which might be a little too small if you're used to having a REALLY WIDE 180+ bed for yourself — but it works really well for two persons. When my roomie Jenny is away, it might be possible to rent the whole apartment, which I have as a separate listing (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/770113)
If you'd like to play ping-pong or have game of basketball, go ahead and borrow our gear — there is several places closeby where you can do both things.
Also, I will provide sheets and towels!
Thank you Fred! We had a very nice stay in Oslo. The appartment was clean, cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is such a beauty, equiped with every gadet you can imagine. simply perfect for my girlfriend ha! the 54-Bus lane, which is located in the same street, goes through the whole city (&directly to the central station).
We highly recommend the appartment to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope to see you in Berlin Fred!
We had a great stay at Fred's place! Unfortunately Fred wasn't there himself during our stay, but his roommate Jenny was really nice and helpful, she told us a lot about Oslo and showed us a bit around. The appartment was very cosy so we felt immediately at home! Tusen takk! Kaat, Birgit and Jana

Staying at Fred's place was a confortable and enjoyable experience! I would definitly recomendate his place! So let me do a little balance about the apartment:
* It is a good apartment, clean, tidy, warm and confortable.
* The kitchen is very well equiped, what allows you to cook at home if you like and save some money in (expensive) norway :)
* He has cool stuff like movies projector and vynil player which we did use and found great to chill after a long day of sightseeing!
* Fred is an awesome guy! We just met a little bit, but it was pure joy and we liked a lot to be there and meet him (and also get good advices)
*be aware that the bed is not a big double bed, maybe it's 1,60m wide or something, which is great if you are a couple in love who likes to sleep close ;)
*the apartment is on the 4th floor, with stairs, so if you have a huge suitcase that weight some 20kg+ it might me a work to go up and downstairs.
*the apartment is not in the centre: it is a godd and beautiful area tough, but you will nee to take a bus to go and return everyday to go downtown - walking is not a good idea - and that will cost some 5 euros for the single ticket (if you dont get any kind of pass).
Saying that, I must afirm: going to Oslo and staying here was a great experience and I would definitely do again and indicate to my friends ;))
We had a great stay. The apartment isn't in the center of Oslo but there are so many buses day and night that you never have the impression to be outside the city. Moreover Oslo is a beautiful city for walking. Everything in this place was clean, calm and nice. And Fred is a very helpful & dedicated host, he will help you with tips and maps, better than a guide !
Good stay in Fred apartment in a very nice city.
Had a fantastic time with Fred in Oslo! He took us to a cool and trendy cocktail bar called the Bird and was kind enough to share coffee and tea in the morning. Very knowledgeable about the city and Norwegian culture; his positive energy contributed to the happiness and enjoyment of our time together and our time spent in the city. Thank you Fred, I'm looking forward to seeing you in London!
We felt immediately at home at Fred's and Jenny's. Both are very open and welcoming and have been lovely to talk to. The flat is easy to find and very well located within a few minutes of walk to lovely coffee places, the Aker river and bus stops from where you are in the city centre after a few stations. The room had a cosy bed and a nice view into a courtyard with trees. A nice place to stay!
Fred's place was really cool, clean and cosy. In a nice quiet area which was pretty easy to get to and close to grunerlokka. Fred, himself, was really accommodating, hospitable and friendly. Didnt feel out of place at all. Highly recommended.
