My wife and I had a wonderful time in Austin with our AirBnB host. We felt comfortable, very important to me during travel. We had easy communication with host and hope to stay with them again when we visit Austin in the future. A great location with quick connection to downtown Austin. The room and amenities were exactly as described. Every positive thing that other reviewers have offered must be true because we had a great experience.
Our first airbnb adventure. First of many to come. Susan and Anthony were great to answer any questions.....most before we asked. Great place to stay, so much better than a hotel IMO. Neighborhood is charming and so close to the lake and eats and what's happening. We acted like introverts and S&A "let us be". Had we wanted interaction I know they would've obliged as well. Yes....I know these things. Spotted bikes in the yard that I will hope to ride to the river next time. This was such fun to stay in Austin and have our kids come to "our place" for a change. Thanks for a great experience in a beautiful place.
This was my second stay at this apartment, and I can't imagine a better place for a short visit!! It is a beautiful space in an ideal location, with all of the amenities one could want. Everything is beautifully thought out and Susan is very accommodating and helpful if you need anything!
Staying at this Tarrytown Apt. was terrific! Wonderful setting, lovely interior, with all the comforts of home. Susan, the host, was so very accommodating and helpful. Would love to stay here again!
This was our first experience using Airbnb and it was much better then expected.
Susan, as others have said prior, was great at communicating. The check in process was a breeze. The apartment is as pictured and extremely clean. Already have recommended Susan's place to several friends who will be visiting Austin. The neighborhood is gorgeous. Highly recommended
This was my first Airbnb experience and I could not have asked for a better one. The little apartment in the back of the house was very clean and had everything I needed - AC, internet, cable and a comfy bed. I really liked the decor inside as well - from the quilted bedspread to the beautiful painting above the bed. There are lots of window to let in the light (which I loved), and also some heavy duty curtains to block out the light (which my boyfriend loved because he was working at night and had to sleep during the day).
I also really liked the location. The apartment is situated in a quiet neighborhood 3 miles from downtown Austin and a short walk to the Colorado River. There are restaurants within walking distance down by the water.
Susan was a wonderful and courteous host. She was patient and helpful while I was trying to figure out how to set up my Airbnb account to book the place. When I had questions she was prompt in communicating with me. She even made sure I was aware of a storm warning that was in effect while I was staying there. As a host, I felt like Susan thought of everything a guest would need. There were ear plugs by the bed, water bottles in the fridge, a list of restaurant recommendations in the area, magazines, and a Nespresso machine (heck yeah!!!). There is also an awesome tub in the bathroom, which I didn't end up using this time around, but would if I stay there again.
I'm so glad we stayed here instead of a hotel. If I am ever back in Austin I would definitely stay here again!
We have spent four nights in this wonderful place being hosted by Anthony & Susan, who were extremely attentive and close to ideal hosts. The apartment has very nice modern design we prefer, with lots of windows. Absolutely our top place by now with AirBnB. We will definitively return for our trips to Austin.
My second time staying in the Tarrytown Apt - and it was just as exceptional as the first time! Extra water bottles in the fridge were a nice touch, as it was summer in Austin. Susan was a wonderful hostess, as always.
This apartment is exactly as it looks -- charming, comfortable, and serene. It's perfect for two people or a small family. It's also very thoughtfully put together and decorated. I jogged every morning around the neighborhood and that was a real treat getting to see the Austin style in all its architectural and landscaping permutations. It's easy to find and easy to get around, but also a nice retreat after a long day. The owners are wonderfully helpful and responsive. What a incredible welcoming experience in Austin! Thank you so much Susan and Anthony!
