Kathleen was extremely helpful and nice. I was working and was in and out mostly early morning and evening. It was a very quiet place. The neighborhood is beautiful and charming. The bed is extremely firm as she mentions. Id stay here again.
Kathleen was a wonderful host. I had flown in from Washington state to spend a month in the city; living here was a truly wonderful experience that gave me the feeling of being home despite being on the other side of the country. I've heard that in order to survive in New York one needs a room that he or she can escape to, and this was truly the ideal place for me. Kathleen was remarkably relaxed and mainly kept to herself which gave me a sense of true independence and only enhanced the feeling of having my own corner of the world.
Kathleen's home is a beautiful brownstone on a lovely street in the Park Slope neighborhood. It is close to great shopping, dining, and transportation to Manhattan. The room we stayed in is large and quiet. The windows look out on the row of backyards behind Kathleen's home and her neighbors'. Even though we stayed with her in the winter, we could tell that in spring and summer, the view would be quite lovely.
Kathleen is an attentive and helpful host. Her house guidelines (which we received in advance of our stay) include useful information.
The room we stayed in is on the fourth floor. That may be quite a climb for guests with mobility issues, but for most it's a good workout!
I always stay at Kathleen´s when I visit my family in Brooklyn. This is my "home away from home".
The house is nice and clean and the atmosphere is super-friendly. The room is spacious and light. Kathleen is a warm and welcoming host. I have come to know the neighborhood very well. There are plenty of nice coffe-shops and restaurants, and the subway is close. I hope to return on a regular basis.
