The room was nice.very quit and had good bed.kathleen very helpfull.
The location in brooklyn was great and the room was very convenient.
This room was perfect for us. Large, bright in day with curtains to block out light at night. No noise as it was fourth floor on the garden instead of street.
Three subway stops in easy walking distance gave us a huge choice of lines to take.
Kathleen is a kind and cheerful hostess and has arranged lights and keys and trash disposal so that use of the space is easy. Her directives were printed and placed in the room so that everything was clear.
Hope we'll be able to stay here on our next visit.
The room was exactly as shown/described online, and Kathleen was a very gracious and friendly host. Would recommend!
My stay at Kathleen's home was seamless. Kathleen is a thoughtful host, making sure her guests have what they need. I really appreciated the kitchenette in the large room. My room was clean, quiet, the bed was very comfortable. The other guests were very nice and enjoyable to visit with. The location was perfect for my work, easy to take transit, and so many shops and restaurants nearby. I hope to stay here again.
Kathleen was a great host. She was very friendly and went the extra mile to make my stay a great one.
Kathleen was a fine host. Her home is in a great location near a bunch of shops and restaurants, Prospect Park and Park Slope, and just 10-15 minutes from Lower Manhattan via numerous subway trains... very convenient. The room was quite spacious and the kitchenette in the back corner was also a nice feature to have when the bathroom was taken by guests staying in the front bedroom. Also, the bed was really large and comfortable, and for the most part it was pretty quiet. The only minor downsides others might want to know about would be that you need share a bathroom with guests from the other room and the bedroom is on the 4th floor, so that's lots of stairs to climb--but those are very minor details. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.
Kathleen's place is clean and convenient, and she is a gracious host.
To add to the list of nice things already said about the host and room, the large bedroom has a small pantry with a washing basin, microwave oven, fridge, toaster, basic utensils and window that overlooks the backyard. Wonderfully convenient.
The place is so accessible with the subway, yet it is quiet and peaceful at night against the constant noises you hear staying in Manhattan.
The bed is especially great for people with back problems like me. It is nice and firm, but not hard. I did not flip the bedsheets up to check. But I suspect it is orthopedic. The room is as spacious as the photo suggests and as delightful with good sunlight. Since it has 2 big windows plus another in the pantry, the room is well ventilated by the fresh air around.
Our room was large, clean with plenty of light and storage available.
Close to subway which was convenient for us to go uptown. Kathleen
was helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
