Absolute beachfront on a stunning, safe, sandy Northland Beach. The bach sits on a 1/4 acre section within in beautiful grove of old Pohutukawa trees

The space
This 3 bedroom bach is a simple and in fair condition, as further detailed below.

The location is awesome. This bach sits right at the centre of Oakura Bay with a 10m pretty grass reserve falling directly to the beach and the high tide mark only 20m from the bach.

Oakura Bay itself is close to the best beach in Northland. It is a stunningly pretty half moon bay with clean sand, safe swimming, offshore islands. The beach shelves gradually. Most often the waves are knee height or a little more and less frequently waist height and much less frequently shoulder height. The swimming is great. It is ideal for children's boogie baording. If the waves build there can be some surfing on the right tide beside the rocks 200m to the North. The walking to the North and South along the beach and sea shore is great The boating is excellent including in the large Whangaruru harbour 1km to the North where a boat can be launched off the beach.

Within 200m are a cafe/fish'n'chip shop to the North and a dairy that stocks essential foodstuffs and fruit and vegetables and also has a single petrol bowser 200m to the West. Whangarei is a 45 minute drive. The Bay of Islands are a 45 minute drive to the North.

The bach itself is c. 900 square feet (c 30 feet by 30 feet). It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a central kitchen, and a combined dining room and lounge facing the beach and sea. It is in an average but comfortable condition. The kitchen has pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, a standard size fridge freezer and a separate freezer (standard width waist height).

The beds are old but comfortable enough. The 2 singles in bedroom 1 are typically pushed together to form a king size bed. The 2 single beds in bedroom 2 are standard size. The 2 single beds in bedroom 3 are smaller with thinner mattresses and suitable for children or teenagers rather than adults. Bedroom 1 and 1 have wardrobes. All bedroom have a chest of drawers.

The bathroom has a toilet, basin, and combined bath shower. Water comes from a rainwater tank so some choose to boil it before drinking. There is no laundry. Linen and towels are not supplied.

There is large 12x 15 foot shed just behind the bach for you to store canoes, boards, bbq etc

This is the first time this bach has ever been rented. (Quarantine restrictions prevent the Australian based family from spending their usual December and January holidays at this bach)

Other things to note
Linen and towels are not supplied. There is no TV nor wi-fi. (If guests were staying longer they could get a plan from uber.nz which has a local tower and fast 20 mb/s broadband).
