Our sunny top floor Pacific Heights apartment is the perfect place to stay in San Francisco! We are close to many popular SF destinations. Groceries are made especially easy with Whole Foods just down the block! Lafayette park is just a block away, with tennis courts, playground, and plenty of grassy areas offering sun soaked views of Alcatraz and the San Francisco bay. There are several convenient buses and cable cars within walking distance, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. We are nearby The Fillmore, Marina, and Nob Hill districts which offer fantastic restaurants, parks, boutiques, jewelers, laundry services, banks, multiple theaters, amazing music venues, salons, spas, gyms, yoga/pilates, and whatever else your heart could desire, all very close!
Inside, the apartment has many windows and gets a lot of light during the day. Our living room is very cozy, complete with a large, full functioning fire place! We are always stocked with plenty of wood for a warm and relaxing night in snuggled up by the fire. One of the couches has a nice sized pull out bed that can sleep two people comfortably. Extra sheets and pillows are provided. Living room is equipped with all the goodies - flat screen TV (no cable access, just hook up your mac or pc), free WIFI, dvd player. There are also a couple places in the apartment to plug in your ipod and listen to music that way. There is a second sitting room with another big comfy couch and a writing desk. Throughout the place are hundreds of books and several succulents and house plants, making it a perfect urban oasis in the middle of the city.
We have a large and sunny bedroom with a queen sized bed complete with luxurious linens. Your clothes and things will have plenty of room with a closet in the bedroom as well as a walk in closet in the hall. The bathroom is attached to the bedroom, and although it is on the small side, there is a large bathtub/shower that can easily fit two. Hot water is always flowing and fresh towels are provided, along with other amenities for a luxurious bath, if you're so inclined!
The kitchen in this apartment is great! We have an awesome old stove complete with a hefty arsenal of cast iron cookware. There is even a tiny bbq out on the "patio" so you can grill! Our kitchen is well stocked and ready for any sort of cooking. There are plenty of dishes, glassware, utensils, and tools for you to use. It's a perfect place to use the french press for your morning coffee or cook a gourmet meal. We love to throw our ipod on the Bose sound dock, get the tunes kickin, and cook a killer meal! Enjoy your meal at our dining table that sits in a bay widow looking out towards beautiful Victorian homes, downtown SF, Coit Tower, and East Bay hills in the distance.
One of our favorite features about the place is the fire escape, which we have transformed into a little patio. Two french doors open to our private fire escape with roof access. It's pretty much standing room only out there, but it's great to open the french doors and let the fresh summer air permeate the place. There are many plants, a mini bbq, and lights strung about, making the "patio" a nice little spot.
We have 2 bikes available to use for getting around the city or going on adventures. Cruise down to the Mission district and sun soak in Dolores park, or go full on and ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, down in to Sausalito, and take the ferry back to SF! We have helmets, locks, and everything else you need for whatever sort of riding you may be doing.
Since the building was constructed in 1913 it does lack some modern amenities, like laundry, elevator, and parking. There is a do it yourself laundry mat just 2 blocks away, and other wash and fold services nearby. Street parking is 2 hr. only, but we almost never run into any trouble with parking. It's usually easy to find a spot right out front, and meter maids seem to focus more on other neighborhoods than ours!
All in all, we feel that you will find our apartment to be the perfect place to stay in the city. Whether you're on vacation, business, or between places, our home is open and ready to accommodate your needs!
If you have any other questions about the place, please contact us, and we will be happy to tell you more!
Nicole and Dan's place was a perfect West Coast get-away! Charming, cozy, eclectic and so much character with all the amenities you could need/want to have a great stay Location was great and so many other bonuses...Bose docking station, kitchen supplies, super comfy bed, wi-fi and a great little bonus outdoor space. They weren't kidding when they said "sunny"! So much wonderful light comes into the apt that even with the San Fran morning fog, it was still cheery and bright. Would absolutely recommend their place and would definitely stay again! Nicole was great to work with before and during out stay. Thanks Nicole and Dan!!
Nicole was an amazing host - responsive and helpful. The apartment itself is a real gem - warm, cozy, safe and authentic, situated just at the right location to make you feel a real San Franciscan (not an overly crowded, but close to everything, and exceptionally safe part of Nob Hill). You will shop at a local Whole Foods, grab a coffee at a Starbucks and board a historic cable car riding along California street - all of those situated in 2 minustes walk down the hill. Clover the Cat added so much to the experience - a good mannered and adorable cat you will hate to leave! I hope to stay at Nicole`s place in the future.
