  • The apartment was perfect. Early modern IKEA, but done tastefully. The ceiling frescoes were beautiful! Super clean and modern bathroom and kitchen. Powerful wattage hair blow dryer in the bathroom. There's an odor on the ground floor of the building, but once you know your way to and from the unit, it's easy to exhale at the appropriate moment. The location was great, just beyond the Duomo Piazza. Quite noisy at night due to intermittent crowds of students tromping by on the street. Highly recommended!

  • Wonderful home. Julie was there to meet us to tell us things needed to know. Her place was near to Duomo Complex which we are able to see from the windows. This place is near to shops and attraction we wanted to go. Wonderful place.

  • Julie's apartment is absolutely beautiful, and a stone's throw from all of Florence's main sights- only a 5 minute walk to the Duomo. Julie was a great host- easy to contact and provided plenty of helpful information on our arrival. Wifi is provided in the apartment too.

We stayed for four nights and took on board the advice of previous travellers to Julie's place and took earplugs as the cobbled street outside is quite noisy. It wasn't a problem at all though as we had done so much walking during the day we were exhausted!

I can't recommend Julie's place enough- if we ever go back to Florence it will definitely be top of our list!

  • We (my wife, one year old daughter Sofie and I) stayed at Julie's apartment one month in August and it was really good. Not Florence itself only, but flat as well. Perfect location and charming flat. I can recommend.

  • Julie played a huge part in making our visit absolutely perfect. We knew that our stay would be too short with all that we wanted to do. But, Julie prepared us well. From the onset, with our initial email exchanges, she was extremely gracious and provided excellent details about Florence, the apartment, and traveling specifics. We had an issue with our car rental that wouldn't have been resolved without her local expertise. With Julie's help we learned the city quickly and was able to shop for a fantastic meal we cooked in the beautiful apartment. The apartment is so clean, comfortable, charming with a history (which Julie shared) that made it feel special. And, the location is just right. Everything we needed was in walking distance yet far enough from pedestrian or auto traffic. On our first night, there was an outdoor screening of a Ai Wei Wei documentary in the piazza at the end of our street. We joined the locals for a beautiful summer's night -- a perfect way to feel like we moved to Florence. Too bad it wasn't true but this b&b is on our list of "to return."
