Am an amateur biker with a love for photography. Mostly it's my photos I like taken.. Full disclosure!
I enjoy hosting and interacting with travellers as it gives me the amazing feeling of travelling the world while sitting in my living room at home lol
My best hosting experiences are where I learn something new from my guests through meaningful conversations...or like the one time I hosted a guest who couldn't speak English and so I had to learn Spanish through the translator app... That was so much fun I almost added it to my languages spoken then I realized I couldn't speak it coz I was only copy pasting it from the app lol... So far the best conversation led me to finding my ikigai. This led me to research more about the Japanese principles of Ikigai, wabi Sabi and Kaizen.. And just like that japan is now on my bucklist. For those who haven't interacted with Japanese principles - For starters Ikigai means our reason for being or the purpose of our life.
Am a Kenyan, born and raised in Nairobi. After Covid I appreciated the value of travelling so currently living in between (Website hidden by Airbnb) most frequent travel destination is Mombasa, cape Town and joburg. I have family in Australia Melbourne so soft spot for traveller's from OZ. I studied in Kampala, Uganda for 8 years so am always excited to host anyone from the pearl of Africa!
Am a serial entrepreneur but hosting is more a passion than it is a business for me. As such, all my units are a safe place where everyone feels seen, heard and belongs. For this reason please be rest assured you will not encounter any form of discrimination based on race, color, nationality, ethnicity, origin, religion, age, gender, disability, social, economic or political background or sexual orientation.
The unique thing about my listings is until very recently I was afraid of colors. I was OK with black and white and would not dare wear a colored dress let alone carry a colored handkerchief! Then when I started hosting, I coincidentally got bitten by the color bug at the same time! I keep wondering, how would a purple house look with yellow windows, then I test it... Full disclosure, some of this have ended up horribly so be ready to learn how to paint if you decide to experiment with me!
I look forward to hopefully learning something new through my interaction with you on this platform
