Muriella was a great host and the apartment was fantastic. It is located in a quiet building in a quiet part of Rome, very close to bus and tram stops, the Pyramide metro station, and Stazione Ostiense. There are also several good grocery stores (Volpetti especially), ATMS, and general stores nearby.
The apartment was clean, well-lit, and had plenty of room for me and my wife. The balconies outside the kitchen and living room are very charming, and the entire apartment is very easy to feel comfortable in. I recommend Muriella and her apartment most highly!
Piazza Albani-this is exactly the kind of apartment we wanted in Rome. A few minutes’ walk took us to the Circo Massimo, Coliseum, Palatine Hill, and Forum. Our metro stop was Circo Massimo. There was a tram a few meters from the house. We were able to walk easily all around the city, including Trastevere across the Tiber. The apartment itself was on what we would call the second floor, next door to the landlords, who were very helpful but never intruded. There was an elevator, the old cage type, which lent atmosphere. The apartment was spic and span and very charming with white walls, light wood floors, dark red Turkish rugs and red upholstered furniture, along with a few lovely old pieces. The kitchen and bathroom were fine. My only small reservation was that the big bed was a pull out, meaning that it was not great for a person with serious back problems. On the plus side, the apartment can sleep five. We would gladly go back there again and hope to do so.
