Interaction with Guests
It depends on my schedule. Sometimes I'm around quite a bit, other times I'm busy teaching and running my school next door, or out of town. I like to meet the guests and spend time with them if I can.
Lots of classy shops, restaurants, bars, services in the Fillmore neighborhood, only 2 blocks away; one block from Japan Town; one block to bus lines to downtown; friendly neighborhood with lots of lovely Victorian houses.
Bus stops on the corner and one block away; near hotels and main thoroughfares, so it's easy to catch a cab if necessary.
Other Things to Note
I speak Spanish. All Spanish-speakers and visitors from other countries are welcome at my house!
No smoking, no 420, no pets
Place was "as described", Ronda was very welcoming and arranged for a last minute stay. The room is very cozy.
Ronda received me in the middle of the night. She was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately we did not have time to sit together although she offered to do so. She let us use her home as if it was our own.
Ronda is a delightful woman, very positive and welcoming. She was extremely helpful in providing information about the city to increase the quality of my stay.
Location is ideal!
Ronda provided me with info via email prior to my arrival. This was helpful as this was my first AirBnB experience. She offered me info and suggestions when requested and left thorough written instructions to find items in her house in case she wasn't there to answer my questions. Ed also provided information and made suggestions as well.
Room/House was as advertised; clean, bright and included full kitchen and laundry access. Nice neighborhood with central location for my park and waterfront adventures.
Ronda was great. Very attentive and welcoming. When ever I needed something, she always answered my phone calls right away. She works right down the street and often pops into the house now and then.
The house is an old house I think built in the late 1800's, and has a very homey cozy feel to it. It's great to have access to the whole place, and to use her comfy sofas downstairs. Best part about Ronda's home is the location...a short walk to an active area of Fillmore St and Japan Town. Very central spot in SF. Definitely worth staying here if you don't mind having roommates in other separate rooms (was never a problem for me because everyone minds to themselves).
Ronda's house is in a great location - close to both Japantown and the Fillmore shopping/restaurant district. I stayed in the twin room for a few nights, and my son joined me for one night. The other guests were busy and quiet so we all were quite comfortable. If you are looking for a nice nail salon, I recommend Trio down the street on Buchanan. Sweet owners, nice mani/pedi, and great customer service.

I have been a Spanish language and cultures educator for 40 years, having worked in public and private educational systems from pre-k to college, graduate school, and adult education for 20 years, before starting my own institute, WEEKEND en español®, now celebrating our 22nd year. I have traveled throughout most of Latin America and Spain over the years, and a few European countries, but my main focus in recent years has been Mexico, where I travel for business and pleasure. I was born and raised in San Francisco, have lived in other cities, but have been back in my home town, and living in my wonderful Victorian house for 32 years. My home has art, books, and treasures from my many adventures. Since I travel frequently, and have my school right next door to my home and can stay there too, I am able to rent out my home to fellow travelers who want to have a real San Francisco experience. My home is in one of the City's most popular neighborhoods--lower Pacific Heights/the Fillmore. We have great dining and shopping, parks, beautiful streets and houses to see and enjoy, easy access to bus lines and main arteries, and great ethnic and street fairs!
