Interaction with Guests
It depends on my schedule. Sometimes I'm around quite a bit, other times I'm busy teaching and running my school next door, or out of town. I like to meet the guests and spend time with them if I can.
Lots of classy shops, restaurants, bars, services in the Fillmore neighborhood, only 2 blocks away; one block from Japan Town; one block to bus lines to downtown; friendly neighborhood with lots of lovely Victorian houses.
Bus stops on the corner and one block away; near hotels and main thoroughfares, so it's easy to catch a cab if necessary.
Other Things to Note
I speak Spanish. All Spanish-speakers and visitors from other countries are welcome at my house!
No smoking, no 420, no pets
Bedroom 2, new double bed, soft yellow walls with art, south-facing window, armoire and dresser, small desk. The room is smallish, but cozy and comfortable.
The house is cozy, clean, and as shown in the pictures. Ronda is a great host. She gave me a warm friendly welcome when I arrived. This was my first experience sharing a house. My concern was there would be a lot of commotion and noise but that was not the case. I only saw Ronda once when I checked in. A few times I saw and chatted briefly with one guest. And another guest, I only saw and chatted with briefly once. I had peace and privacy, which was nice after a long day of being out and about. I really got to come "home" and unwind. Since there was only one bathroom and shower for four guests, I was concerned that would be a problem. But it wasn't an issue. Anytime I wanted to use the bathroom or shower, it was empty. Lastly, Ronda's house is conveniently located steps from Japantown and a walk or short bus ride away from tons of great neighborhoods.
The house was in a very pleasant and convenient area which I liked very much. My room was bright and pleasant. I did feel that given there were three rooms occupied that the bathroom facilities could do with a bit of upgrading. Although the shower rail and the stair rail had temporary repairs that I think the breakages were important enough to be fixed for safety reasons
Ronda was a lovely host. Her charming home is in a great location, and the room was comfortable, lovely, and had a great view.
Rhonda is a wonderful host who really wants her guests to feel at home. Her beautiful house offers great creature comforts, rooms are lovely, beds are comfortable, her kitchen policy is very user friendly with a great eating space next to huge windows, skylights and a lovely outdoor deck. Beautiful area to be in, next to Japantown and the upscale Fillmore shopping with lots of eating places and stores. Easy to get around the city. She is very easy to be around, and very welcoming. Very enjoyable stay, would love to return at another time.
Place was "as described", Ronda was very welcoming and arranged for a last minute stay. The room is very cozy.
Ronda received me in the middle of the night. She was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately we did not have time to sit together although she offered to do so. She let us use her home as if it was our own.
Ronda is a delightful woman, very positive and welcoming. She was extremely helpful in providing information about the city to increase the quality of my stay.
Location is ideal!

About the Host, Ronda
I have been a Spanish language and cultures educator for over 40 years, having worked in public and private educational systems from pre-k to college, graduate school, and adult education for 20 years, before starting my own institute, a full-service Spanish language school, WEEKEND en español®, now celebrating our 27th year. I have traveled throughout most of Latin America and Spain over the years, and a few European countries, but my main focus in recent years has been Mexico, where I travel for business and pleasure. I was born and raised in San Francisco, have lived in other cities, but have been back in my home town, and living in my wonderful Victorian house for 37 years. My home has art, books, and treasures from my many adventures. My school is right next door to my home, so I am easily in touch with those who stay at my house. Since I travel frequently, I have the flexibility to rent out my home or some of the rooms to fellow travelers who want to have a real San Francisco experience. My home is truly centrally located, and in one of the City's most popular neighborhoods--lower Pacific Heights/the Fillmore. We have great dining and shopping, parks, beautiful streets and houses to see and enjoy, easy access to bus lines and main arteries, and great ethnic and street fairs!
