Airbnb Reviews If you are happy here review us on airbnb.
I booked this lovely room for a short overnight kayak and hiking trip in Santa Cruz. It was perfect for us. Traveling with a friend, the hosts made us feel very welcome, the room was clean and well equipped, and the bed was very comfy. We enjoyed tea in the garden when we arrived and they directed us to some different places for everything from cheese to whale watching. The garden has a lovely walking labyrinth and is also a perfect place for a 6am sit, followed by great conversation and a tasty coffee cake.
Pete has an absolutely beautiful home, and the room we stayed in was wonderful. We stayed for two nights, so we were able to take advantage of the free aquarium tickets, which was fantastic and worth the hour drive down the coast to Monterey. Pete graciously accommodated our very late arrival the first night, and had amazing coffee cake and coffee available both mornings. I would highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Santa Cruz area.
Although my stay was short, Pete made me feel very comfortable and at-home. The space was truly lovely and the backyard is fantastic! I didn't see much of Santa Cruz while I was there but the neighborhood is beautiful and safe. I'll definitely be back for a longer stay!
Pete was such an awesome host. The home was very clean and comfortable. Pete and Cathy are very caring people who truly makes you feel at home. He is very knowledgeable about Santa Cruz and will tell you all the best places to go. If we ever make it back to Santa Cruz we are definitely staying with Pete! He made a good trip and outstanding trip. Thank you Pete and Cathy!
Pete is a professional. Apart from being a great host, he and Katie had plenty of suggestions how to maximize our trip in Santa Cruz. If ever we are in Santa Cruz, we will very much like to stay here again.
We loved our stay at your place and hope to do so again. Your home is gorgeous and more than comfortable. Loved the gluten free baked goods, being greeted at our bedroom door by Nod in the morning, and the lively and interesting chat with your two other guests. They were delightful. Thank you so much for your gracious hospitality with the tour of your own living quarters upstairs - very impressive remodel you came up with. The grounds around the house with the labyrinth, the aviary, the chickens - all so lovely and fascinating. We had a wonderful stay - only wish it had been longer than just one night. We hope it will be a longer stay next time.

Great place, great host. Pete is def a big part of the character and charm. Woke to the smell of fresh coffee and some great homemade loaves. Very good location if you are ok being out of the main center. Close enough to beaches. The bikes make for a fun ride.
Would def return
