Yes bus 1 short block and goes everywhere. Can take bikes on bus. Santa Cruz smallest county in CA so getting around by bike easy and we have 4 for guests. Shared parking in driveway in front of house.

Pete and Cathy went out of their way to make us feel welcome in their beautiful home -- from chocolates in the bedroom to a lighted candle in the bathroom and a delicious homemade breakfast. They also suggested Santa Cruz attractions and restaurants that we tried and thoroughly enjoyed. Our stay felt like a genuine bed and breakfast experience rather than an overnight in a spare room in someone's house.
Pete and Cathy are incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. This was our second time staying with them and we enjoyed having a warm and relaxing home to come back to at night. Pete is always attentive especially in the morning and provides coffee or tea and delicious morning bread that Cathy bakes. Cathy is a wonderful baker! We also took advantage of their membership to the Monterey Bay Aquarium which was a lot of fun! We will defiantly be back to see the labyrinth they are working on in their garden as well as say hello to their sweet cats
Hosts Pete and Kathy are great! We had a wonderful time. The house is close to pretty much everything (downtown Santa Cruz, the beach, Capitola, the Redwoods...). The breakfast cake was delicious and Pete was full of recommendations and stories. Thanks again for a great stay!
My Daughter stayed here to visit a town that she used to live in, and was looking for a home-base, and this provided exactly that. Pete offered tea and breakfast and bikes and the hosts were very helpful in providing local information and directions. The accommodations were as described and our stay was quiet and restful.
Pete was very helpfull and informative on the phone and by email. He was not there when we stayed which we knew ahead of time. We were happy with the accomadation except it was quite cold on arrival and took a while to warm up.
