Set on 115 acres along the Manokin River, Sugar Water Manor invites guests to enjoy kayaks, the pool, fire pit, and even join the farm crew to collect eggs or harvest produce. A breakfast treat is delivered each morning. The Farm House offers the property's finest views--river, gardens, barns, and fields all around. Unplug during your stay, as there is no WiFi, TV, or smoking on the property.

The FarmHouse at Sugar Water Manor
Sugar Water Manor sits on nearly 70 acres of farm and woods on the Manokin River. Come enjoy a farm stay, do it all or do nothing. Guests have full access to the property to enjoy including kayaks, the pool and can make arrangements to enjoy the farm crew, collect eggs and harvest for your meals. Farm fresh eggs and a treat will be delivered for your breakfast for you to prepare or we will send hard boiled eggs over. The owners live in the historic Clifton on property and can assist as needed- Also known as Lodge One has the best views of the property from each window.  This three bedroom 1.5 bath home has a full eat in kitchen as well as a separate dining room. The first floor also has a big cozy family room with a half bath and a screened in porch you will never want to leave. The second floor has 3 bedrooms, a king, queen and a double as well as a full bath with a rain head shower.  With views of the river, garden, both barns and farm you will not know where to look first.  Each room has a clean simple design to fully absorb the beauty of Sugar Water Manor. 
You may enjoy the whole property during your stay.  Friday and Saturday the Fire Pit is ready by 6 PM in the Fall and Winter and you may even roast your dinner out there and s'mores kits are always available.  Kayak, walk down to Racoon Point, get your eggs from the chicken coop, wander the property or just sit and do nothing!  It is totally up to you!  
The FarmHouse is for 6 guests (speak to owner about additional guests)

We are a 100% smoking free property including cigarettes, cigars, cannabis, vape pens and anything of the sort.

Guests have access to all of the nearly 115 acres of Sugar Water Manor. The owners live on the property in Clifton Manor, a historic home on the Manokin River. Guests may use kayaks, SUP, and other items on property.

We are a 100% smoke-free property.

No Pets
We are a working farm with rescue animals. It is not an environment for cutest, most well-behaved pets, but we would love to see their pictures.

Breakfast
Breakfast is made and given every morning on the farm. It is left right outside your front door. Please let us know if you have any health restrictions and we will work on getting you that perfect morning treat.

Lives in Westover, Maryland
Dana bought Clifton in 2019 and developed the 2 additional farm houses into guest homes. After years of traveling the world writing about food and travel Dana and her husband decided to settle down on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. In the past almost 2 years they have acquired a barn crew of goats, ducks, chickens and more. They have also created a high producing garden and invite guests to harvest for their meals. Dana decided to open Sugar Water Manor to give others the chance to explore a farm stay or sit and do nothing at all.
