Interaction with guests
I am usually to be found in my studio and happy to help with any questions. I usually have more guests staying and I find it makes for a really lovely atmosphere in the house having visitors from all over the world.
We are right opposite the Garigal National Park. The house is in a quiet leafy suburb, but within a few minutes walk of a small shopping centre with cafe, supermarket, pharmacy and baker.
There is a good bus service to the city from the local shopping centre which is about seven minutes walk away, uphill! Train station is 30 minutes walk, and there is a local bus service from East Lindfield to the station. Often I can give you a lift. I recommend going to the city by train and coming back by bus and then it's a short walk downhill to our house.
NO SMOKING means anywhere - not in the house, not in the garden. Very strictly no smoking, sorry, but if you are a smoker, you might find some other accommodation more to your liking.
Enjoy yourself and respect other guests.
I have recently finished a manuscript about two years I spent in Hong Kong in the late sixties. It's with a literary agent and I am keeping my fingers crossed for publication. Now I am writing another memoir about time in Africa. When I am not writing, I am creating artwork with fabrics; quilts and wall hangings.
Have travelled extensively and love travelling and travellers. In the last few years I have visited Afghanistan as a volunteer, worked as a woofer with my daughter on an organic farm in Nepal, backpacked on my own in Morocco and visited many other destinations.
