We enjoyed our stay with Karen and Bob. They are welcoming and delightful hosts and we had good conversations. Karen gave us many suggestions for local activities and scenic spots. I have celiac disease and Karen provided breakfast choices to accommodate my diet nicely. it was really a fun time.
We had a wonderful stay. Lovely home and made to feel very welcome. Karen and her husband were delightful and very helpful.
My hosts were very accommodating of my late evening arrival. I enjoyed visiting with them about their travels and life experiences. The room itself was most comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. Breakfast was just right and I was made to feel at home. The property is located close to the area's lovely beaches as well as the URI campus. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
We had a delightful week-long stay at Karen and Bob's. It was quiet and peaceful, yet still close to town. We loved having breakfast on the deck and listening to the birds and windchimes. The room was exactly as pictured, and was cozy and comfortable. Their home has very good energy and we felt at ease immediately. If you love staying in the country, this is the perfect farmhouse for you!
We had a lovely time while staying with Karen and Bob and their family. The location was perfect - close to beaches, bike trails, parks, restaurants, Theatre by the Sea, and the Block Island Ferry in Point Judith. Our room was very comfortable and looked just like the pictures. Tucker, the family dog, made us feel quite welcome (as did the rest of the family). We hope to come back same time next year! I highly recommend this Country Home surrounded by Gardens in Wakefield, RI!
Cool old New England property in 100% idyllic setting. Amazing old Newfoundland dog the size of a pony is one of the residents! Room smells slightly like this dog but is quite private at the top of a spiral staircase and has an attached bathroom. Karen made some killer french toast with rhubarb in the morning. Add sugar if it's sour. If your itinerary is subject to change, electronic communication may be iffy; recommend calling landline in that case rather than texting or emailing. Convenient to Narragansett. All in all a great value for the area. Watch for cops if you're out late driving.
Karen was a wonderful host and her home is lovely. It was so nice to stay close to the wedding venue. It would be a delight to stay again.
