Welcome to your charming log cabin located in Virginia, IL. This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin is designed to provide you with rustic comfort, making your stay truly exceptional. Nestled on a bluff overlooking the serene Virginia Lake, this 1850's log cabin combines historic charm with modern luxuries. Set on 80acres of timber and water for you to explore. Hike, kayak, fish or just relax and enjoy!

The space
Your stay at the cabin has several amenities that you can enjoy such as a refrigerator, microwave, coffee and tea service, gas grill, back patio, fire pit, hammock, fishing dock and access to the water for swimming, boating, or kayaking. Enjoy star gazing, hiking, mountain biking, helping hosts in the garden or with the honey bees if you choose. There are several attractions in the area as well as antiquing and site seeing.

Guest access
You will have the entire cabin with a private bath all to yourself. There is a hot tub at the host’s home on site that is a shared space and you are welcome to enjoy it as well. Feel free to wander the the property.

Other things to note
Your host is a beekeeper and has several hives on site. If you are allergic to bee stings, please bring your medication with you. Use caution when near the hives.

The cabin is very close to the lake and could be a danger to children. Therefore, the property will be for adults only. Thank-you for your understanding.

Neighborhood highlights

This property is a gem that is conveniently tucked right off of Rt. 78 a mile north of the quaint town of Virginia. Originally, the property belonged to the city and the lake was their water source. We acquired it a few years ago and have turned into our sanctuary for peace and tranquility. Life moves a little slower when you drive through that gate and we hope you find the Virginia Lake Cabin to be a restful retreat as well.
