ON THE OCEAN condominium "Turtle Haven" near Poipu with spectacular views. Swim, surf, snorkel, sunbath or just relax in a peaceful corner of Kauai Island. Dazzling views of the tropical Pacific Ocean straight ahead. Your unit faces the ocean directly with nothing between you and the sea. Watch the whales, dolphins, and turtles from your lanai (balcony) only 30 ft (9 m) from the water. Renowned Lawai snorkeling beach (with turtles) and surfing are steps away.

The space
Open the windows and doors to feel the blowing trade winds, smell the salty ocean, and hear the crashing surf. Sip your coffee or tea while floating over the waves and Pacific blue waters as far as you can see. Enjoy privacy over a coral reef with turtles from this second floor unit #210 (with elevator close by): No other units can see into your space and no telephone means complete peace.

This unit offers 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and sleeps 6. Find a King bed in the master bedroom, a Queen bed in the second bedroom, and a Queen sofa bed in the living room. For those occasional days when it's a bit warm, AC throughout the unit will keep you comfortable.

With floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall windows, you will enjoy the sea from the living room, dining room, or lanai. Watch whales breach in the winter and turtles feeding directly in front of your balcony. Or scan surfers tackling the waves while an occasional snorkeler visits the turtle cleaning station below.

The kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless appliances, including stove and oven (with convection), dishwasher, coffee maker and grinder, French press, electric kettle, microwave, toaster, full refrigerator with ice maker, and a blender for drinks. It's fully furnished with everything you need to cook or enjoy a drink, with BBQs onsite. Next door find one of the island's best restaurants and bars, The Beach House. A coffee shop, boutiques, natural food store, and icecream are just a short walk toward Koloa.

Cable and wireless internet are included. In the living area, find a smart flat-screen TV and bluetooth stereo with DVD player as well as a small desk and games. The easy-access parking lot allows one car per unit. Both the master bath (with separate large walk-in shower---see photos) and the second hall bath (with twin sinks) have custom tile work. Unique art work on the walls conveys the Hawaiian spirit.

Enjoy the peace, relaxation, and adventure Kauai brings by staying in a peaceful corner of the island while bathing in the sights and sounds of an ocean front unit.

Elevator is close to your unit or take the wide outdoor (covered) stairs to the second floor. Laundry room is on each floor of the complex. A few beach towels are provided.

Neighborhood highlights

This unique condominium Kuhio Shores is flanked by Turtle Cove on one side and Lawai Beach (with abundant snorkeling) on the other. On the inland side, find a piece of history at the sacred Prince Kuhio Park. Lawai Beach next door offers can't-miss snorkeling with turtles and colorful tropical fish as well as sunbathing, surfing, and swimming (SNUBA too!). We've seen octopus and endangered monk seals there as well. Enjoy the outdoor garden shower tucked between tropical plants for Kuhio Shores guests before heading up to the unit to relax.

Take a stroll down the road to visit the National Tropical Botanical Garden and a natural geographic wonder, Spouting Horn blow hole. Scuba diving at Koloa Landing is only 1/2 mile away (< 1km). The popular tourist areas of Poipu are just a mile or so away, as well as the historic town of Koloa and grocery store. The upscale Shops at Kukui'ula are easy walking distance with many fine restaurants, ice cream, and shopping.
