My stay here with Negille and Veronica has been excellent. I relocated to the st. Pete area and needed flexibility on the length of stay while searching for housing. They were more than accommodating and actually helped me with storing my belongings and trying to find movers. What a breath of fresh air in my situation!!!! Thanks so much for everything.
I enjoyed St Pete, however Veronica was out of town and I wasn't notified she wasn't returning until the night prior to check in. I understand things happen, but I was a bit confused. I was traveling alone and wasn't aware parking was in the rear with alley access..if you don't leave the side light on the walkway to the front walk is not well lit at night. Also there was a lot of cleaning product used and I had to air out the house when I arrived. they treat this as a regular rental as there weren't any travel brochures or recommendations. It is an interesting place to stay with papaya , peppers etc growing in the backYard. Upon arriving Negille prepared a papaya for me and told me I was welcome to the garden. He also helped me bring bags to the car which I thought was very nice. Overall I would have liked there to have been more communication I think this would be a good place If you aren't traveling alone.
I was out of state, had to leave unexpectedly because my brother died suddenly in California, so I did not meet Michelle personally, these were circumstances beyond my control. All I can say for sure is that she left the rental in good order, but was late in checking out, which caused inconvenience to my husband and the cleaning lady, who were waiting for her to leave for over an hour, so the unit could be cleaned for the next guest. I was very clear in my communication that check out was 10 a.m. It was after 11 a.m. when she left. I'm sure this lack of communication
Nigelle and Veronica where very kind hosts they looked after me very well they even cooked an authentic Jamaican goat curry one night (Negille is Jamaican) . The apartment is well situated for buses and or walk into downtown and also a short walk to the sea. The area is quite and the apartment is clean and comfortable all in all a good place to stay.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The hosts were welcoming and their apartment was nice and clean. I needed a quiet place to stay that was near Bayfront hospital and this was perfect. The downtown area is very close, like about a mile, so lots of activities and restaurants to go to. The apartment has everything you need for a short term stay, from pots to linens. If you do stay in this area I would also recommend going to siesta key beach for a day.
I'm impressed by my first experience of AIRBNB, I needed a place both within walking distance of St Petersburg CBD (& the Dali Museum), plus ready access to public transit for longer trips, to spend 2 weeks with my 10 and 5 year old kids, from whom I'm separated by divorce and 12 time zones.
Veronica and her husband Nigelle are great hosts and helped me out in many ways, suggesting venues and activities that would be enjoyable for the kids, without the need for a car.
Their apartment is well appointed, in a quiet neighborhood and and ideal for 2. Two blocks away the frequent Rte 4 bus will take you to town, there is a quiet park and beach 5 minutes walk away, and Rte 4 and the Central Ave Trolley will take you to St Pete's Beach - perfect for my kids. 5 stars for hospitality, comfort and location.
