The Space

Come visit this beautiful, bright, airy, neat and over-sized studio/open one bedroom with full bathroom and full kitchen right in the heart of the city!

A block from anything, the location is right by Madison Square Garden, a few blocks from 34th & 8av Penn Station and the Highline (a must see!). A 35 minute travel from JFK via LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) and only $11 (seriously, forget the cab). Many long distance trains and buses stop at Penn station too, so arriving couldn't be any easier.

Walk to Times Square in 12 minutes. The amazing Central Park is a 25 minute walk away. See the epic view from the 'Top of the Rock' at 50 Rockerfeller or from the beautiful Empire State Building... What color will it be tonight? Get a 'slice' of Grandma Pie at the best pizza place, explore the shopping strip on 34th st where you can stock up at Bloomingdale's, Zara or Uniqlo or walk a few blocks to Koreatown for a tasty feed, or jump in a cab uptown and take in some theater or art or downtown for world class dining, bars, live music shows and clubs.... or... you tell me... what are you looking for?

Really perfect for 2 people. Available on a per night basis. The price is listed for single person occupancy with an additional fee per extra person. I can accommodate more people under certain circumstances, so please, let's talk!

The apartment is very chill. A large neat open studio, spacious with a lovely breeze from the Hudson river. Faces the back of the building, it is so quiet you'll forget you are in NYC until you peek out the window and see the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden. Equipt with air-con, heat, a very comfortable bed and a clean desk to get your work (or (website hidden)ing) done while here with unlimited WiFi. Full kitchen, including a new Nespresso machine, high powered blender, masticating juicer and water filtration device. This apartment is creative and comfy, with a full sofa and a flat screen TV with Netflix, and is ready to be your home while you explore the world's best city (Yes, I'm biased!).

The building offers an elevator, a basement laundry room (washer & dryer) and a trash disposal unit on each floor. But forget about the cleaning and cooking, you're here to enjoy! There's 24h-everything; What food do you desire to be delivered? Or just a few Bananas? Have your laundry washed and folded and delivered at your service. NYC's 'what you want, when you want' at it's best.

Very safe neighborhood and building, no matter what time you decide to end the fun and grab some shut eye. The building's foyer has been recently renovated. Intercom for any visitors. It's super easy to get a cab at any time of the day.

The location is right by the A,C,E and 1,2 and N,Q,R Subway lines. A 4 min walk from other major transit lines at 8av & 34th St Penn Station. Great location with tasty restaurants within a few bock radius and a short cab ride to the west village and downtown areas.

I have a very friendly and sweet boxer/pit mix dog that lives here with me. Talk to me about dog sitting her while you are here, I can reduce the nightly fee substantially! She is a short hair dog, the apartment is vacuumed and mopped every week.

Small 53" 8 speed bike to rent $30 per day.

I am here to welcome you. Please let me answer your questions for a unforgettable stay.

Guest Access

Fresh towels and linen are set for you. There (email hidden) with Netflix and HBO GO and basic TV, a Nespresso coffee machine and milk Aeroccino. You can use all cook ware, plates and keep your food in the fridge. Everything in cupboards and draws is off limits.

Interaction with Guests

I will most likely meet you to give you the keys and get you acquainted and settled. We can chat beforehand to see that you will have everything you need during your stay.

The Neighborhood

This neighborhood is a mix of all walks of life. Very safe and lots of helpful people. The high line is a couple of blocks away. I have been here for 3 years and I love it more and more every day. There are new cafe's, brunch spots, cool bars, and great restaurants opening up all the time. The best thing to experience is how accessible EVERYTHING is. I love that is is so quiet but 15 mins to anywhere.

Getting around

There are MANY parking stations near by, being right by Penn station you have NJ transit, LIRR /Long Island Rail Road (express to the airport and way cheaper than a cab), MTA Subway, Busses, Bolt Bus, Greyhound, Mega Bus, a million cabs at any time, Citi Bike... And of course, walking!

Other Things to Note

Just try to keep a low profile for my neighbors and building managers. It's a quiet building.

I moved my furniture around and so the place looks different. Better!

  • Great little apartment and host. All was as described; clean, comfortable and convenient. Great area close to Penn Station, easy walking distance to restaurants, groceries and many NY sights. We didn't meet Linda but she communicated with us well in advance and gave us clear and easy entry and departure instructions. The elevator and onsite washing machine was appreciated! The kitchen was small as expected but there is a great Wholefoods market close by …so who needs to cook! We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again with Linda.

  • A great private apartment and centrally located. A home from home. Right by Penn station and great for getting around the city and 50 mins train to JFK. Linda the host has excellent communication and easy to get hold of if needed. you feel like the place is yours for the whole time you are there. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a place to relax whether on vacation or business. Thanks Linda!

  • Linda was an excellent host and the apartment is located in an extremely convenient location. The unit itself was comfortable, bright, and quiet…a very welcome combination in the city. Linda provided great suggestions for the area and I throughly enjoyed chatting with her for the brief times we crossed paths. I would not hesitate to book this apartment again.

Hope you had a great time checking out the city!

  • We stayed in Linda's apartment on W 30th St for 12 days and enjoyed every day of it. Clean, comfortable, and bright apartment in a nice neighborhood, with easy access to ACE as well as 123 lines and walk to midtown shopping. Other than initial difficulty due to our ignorance of lock boxes, everything worked out great and better than what we anticipated. Linda stayed in touch and very responsive through SMS and emails. We'd recommend it to friends and look forward to staying here again. Thanks Linda.

  • We stayed two people in Linda's apartment for a couple of days. We had a great time there. Linda was a very nice host: she answered all our questions fast and had even left some magazines and snacks for us. We had agreed to babysit Linda's dog, Laila - an experience we can highly recommend for dog lovers. She is adorable. I had the pleasure of meeting Linda the last night I was in New York. She is a lovely and warm person. The apartment has a great location: both the upper and lower part of the city is within walking distance and the area itself is very charming. The apartment is small but there is everything you need. We did not spend much time there but when we did we had no problems.

  • Linda is a fabulous host. Very kind and responsive. There was a small issue with the door lock while I was there but it was taken care of immediately, even though she was out of the country at the time. The apartment was clean and as advertised. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Linda's apartment is cozy and its location (5 mins walk from Penn Station) was fantastic. Although I didn't get to personally meet Linda she was very friendly and answered all my questions promptly despite being in Brazil.

  • Linda is a great host! Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to meet her but communication with her was friendly, easy, and she is very reactive. She had even left a few things to eat in the fridge for us.
Her place is truly ideally situated, that is 3 min from Pennsylvania Station and you can catch a cab easily right in front of her building.
The neighbourhood where Linda's apartment is located is just great : you have plenty of restaurants, bars, groceries and everything you need 5 min top from the building and yet, the apartment is calm and you will get a good sleep at night.
We were three and the apartment was comfortable and big enough, yet, if you plan to spend some time in the apartment to rest (or if you're not sure whether you get along well or not with your travel mates...), I would recommend it for two people only.
To put it in a nutshell : if you're looking for a central place for 2/3 people in Manhattan, next to all the city's attractions, with all the commodities accessible walking, choose Linda's!

  • The location of this apartment was perfect and it was just as quiet as Linda said it was. The only noise I heard the entire weekend was some barking from one of the other tenant's dogs, but it wasn't a major annoyance. And I sleep with earplugs anyway. The air conditioning worked well, but even with it off all day I didn't find the apartment stifling hot when I came back in the evening, which was important since it hit 100 F the Sunday I was there. The overall layout was comfortable. And I slept great on the bed. I found Linda to be really friendly and welcoming, and always just a text away if I had a question. And I got to meet her lovely new boxer puppy! All in all, it was a great spot to explore New York from. And I highly recommend the Long Island Rail Road for travelling to and from JFK. Penn Station is just a few blocks walk away and taking the train is super easy and way cheaper than a cab.

I'm from Sydney, Australia, I have been living in nyc for a little while over a year now. I like to chill by nature, surf, bike ride and yoga... I'm creative – arty. I'm into all things healthy and clean living-like and I enjoy cooking. I'm a natural traveller and I love exploring new places, food and culture. I hear most Australians are like that though. My favourite places I've ever visited are Japan and the Mediterranean. I have an Italian background as so can speak conversational Italian. When I travel I prefer to stay at someone's place and experience it like a local. Living in NYC has been an amazing experience for me. The people are so interesting and there are endless things to do, food to eat and random experiences to run into. I've made some great friends and I'm sure I'll be here for a while. If you stay at my place, you might forget that you are in New York City, that is until you look out the window and see the Empire State Building and Madison Square. My place is very quiet and has everything anyone could want for a short stint in the city. As my guest I'll do my best to make sure you are equipped with knowledge for what you want to do and that you are super comfy for your stay. I often say to myself... "If you're not living, you're dying." which reminds me to savour each moment.
