Enjoy one of brownstone Brooklyn's finest neighborhoods in our spacious one-bedroom apartment. The architecture is very easy on the eyes and the food will have you ready to transfer everything you belong to Brooklyn (it did for us!). We're a two minute walk away from the busy Dekalb Avenue full of NYC restaurant gems. The BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) and Fort Greene Park are each around ten minute walk. Pratt University is a five minute walk. Barclay's Center is about a 10 minute walk as well. There's tons to do and plenty to eat around these parts.
TRANSPORTATION/METRO: The G train is on our our block. The C is about a 5 minute walk and will take you into Manhattan (G to the L might be quicker!). The B and D are a 10-15 minute walk and are express trains to Manhattan. Walk to Barclay's Center (15 minutes) for lines RND2345B7Q. Taxis are easy to get and cost around $20 to downtown Manhattan. NEW: There are three CitiBike stations within two blocks.
WARNING: This is a four-story walkup!!
WEEKEND BONUS: The Brooklyn Flea (Saturdays) is a block away and offers an amazing array of food vendors (lobster rolls, Korean hotdogs, fresh oysters, Dough doughnuts & more) to go along with a fine collection of overpriced used goods and decent clothing options. (from March until Thanksgiving)
AMENITIES: Futon: sleeps two. King size bed can fit 3! Parking = street, but easy. WIFI = included. Flatscreen with Apple TV. Air conditioning = yes.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood, subway stop at the end of the street. Fantastic communication with owner. The apt. is cute' cozy and very clean and felt spacious. It was really convenient to not have to meet anyone to access rental. Everything was as described. We would definitely stay here again.
Never met Mike in person, but everything was great! From the beautiful apartment to the awesome neighbourhood (that has easy access to the rest of Brooklyn through the G and to Manhattan with the C), it was exactly what we were looking for.
Recipe for an amazing weekend!
Mike's place was lovely, just as the photos showed. The place was easy to find, parking was reasonable and lot's of good, super quick communication with Mike. Many delicious food options nearby (Olea for brunch, Smoke Joint for dinner and Dough for donuts!) and the Fort Greene flea was only a block away. Highly recommend!
The apartment was great, as described, lovely neighborhood. Excellent communication. Totally hassle-free weekend! Would highly recommend for future travelers.
Mikes place is nice. The subway to get to Manhattan is near and the neighborhood looks safe. Communication with Mike was fast and efficient. We would go back to his place.
Highly recommended! Mike's apt. was the perfect spot for the 3 of us - we found it really spacious and convenient to our favorite brooklyn spots. Mike was an incredible host, very communicative and we really appreciated his flexibility with our check-in and check-out times. We arrived right in the middle of a heat wave and he made sure that an a/c was installed before we arrived -That was incredible!! It was much appreciated, we were happy that he set up all the elements for an easy comfortable stay.
Great spot in a great neighbourhood. Our son played in the park just around the corner for the better part of the day, and made a bunch of friends. Mike was accommodating, and checked in with us during out stay - thanks Mike! Definitely have to be in shape for that extra flight of stairs. :)
MIke was a great host and his apt was perfect for our needs. His video tour of his home was informative and answered a lot of questions. We were a family of 4 and we found the place to be totally accommodating and comfortable. The king sized bed helped! The area of Brooklyn is also a perk -- right on the G train and also close to Prospect Park, where I took a run both days we were there. So, yes, Mike's place was super and we recommend it strongly.
This was my first airbnb experience and I hope it hasn't spoiled me for others. My girlfriend and my two kids and I gathered at Mike's and Melissa's place over the 2013 Christmas holidays and we had an excellent time. The place was cosy - and full of charm. We cooked every night. The neighborhood wasn't far from where I used to live (I recently moved from Brooklyn to L.A. - so this was a great home-coming) and is beyond awesome. Brooklyn is the best!!!!
Honestly, I can't speak highly enough of Mike and Melissa - or their place. They opened up everything in their kitchen to us - even left out a bottle of wine for us. Brooklyn hospitality at its best! One of the best holidays I've had.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mike's Clinton Hill apartment. His hospitality was outstanding, offering his home to our family for a long weekend. The location is fabulous with access to the subway for Brooklyn and Manhattan close by. The neighborhood offers great restaurants and stores close by when you take advantage of Fort Greene Park.
We were quite comfortable with plenty of room to sleep four and relax when we weren't on the go. There is a big kitchen area (for New York) if you need it, and once it got hot, the shower was terrific. Thumbs up! Thanks, Mike.
