The space
Barenhutte sleeps 8 in 2 bedrooms plus a king loft (2 full baths), just 2 miles from downtown Leavenworth. Hot tub, movie projector, Level 2 EV charger, and fiber WiFi round out a log cabin that pairs rustic charm with modern comfort — private in the woods, but minutes from the Bavarian village.

Step onto the covered front porch and through the door into a colorful kitchen filled with fetching features: stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and gorgeous wood floors. An impressive rock wall will have you dreaming of climbing mountains as you prepare a feast for your group in the open kitchen. Around the corner, true coziness awaits — cuddle up with a hot toddy or a locally crafted beer on the comfy sectional sofa, and when you're ready to entertain, amaze your loved ones with a movie on the big screen using the projector. An electric fireplace adds to the glow on cool evenings.

The main floor has a full bath with a clawfoot tub, a stand-alone shower, and a granite-topped vanity, sitting right next to the two main-floor bedrooms. Up the wooden staircase, the fairytale-like king loft opens into a spacious retreat, and the upstairs bath offers its own clawfoot tub soak framed by ageless woodwork, classic tile floor, and a shower.

Back downstairs, a stackable laundry unit adds convenience for longer stays. Out back, a large covered porch delivers the highlight of the stay: a BBQ, a comfortable table and chairs for al fresco dining, and a hot tub for the ultimate soak after a day of playing in the mountains, shopping in the Bavarian village, or visiting the magical reindeer farm just down the road.

Occasional train and road noise is noticeable at times, given the cabin's proximity to the valley corridor. Most guests aren't bothered, but light sleepers may want to plan accordingly.

Movie projector and screen serve as the main-level "TV." A Smart TV was added upstairs in 2022.
