Great location and beautiful grounds. The view of downtown LA at sunrise from the third floor balcony is spectacular. Fortuna was available when we needed her and a great host. A fun getaway. Thanks
It was a pleasure to stay in Fortuna Htl, everything is so well designed and I like the garden a lot! It's a convenient location with plenty of street parking.
Stayed at Fortuna's for 4 nights and had a great experience. She was quick to respond to messages prior to and upon arrival. The apartment was very clean and comfortable in a great location with plenty of street parking. The view of downtown from the third floor balcony is a great place to watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee or spend the evening with a glass of wine. I would definitely recommend staying at Fortuna's.
Fortuna's place is lovely, located in Angelino Heights near historic Victorians, convenient to Echo Park, downtown, and other areas. The place is really nicely restored to capture architectural and decorative details. The room is relaxing and includes a mini-kitchen (fridge, sink, toaster, french press coffee pot, etc.) and a terrific claw foot tub. Fortuna provides a lot of lovely touches like lemons from the yard, shampoo and conditioner, etc. Highly recommended!
Beautiful, unique, atmospheric, spotless. This is a very special place to stay. Hosts were very professional and accommodating. I dealt with both fortuna and Barbara and they were both excellent communicators and polite as can be. The home is walking distance (rare for la!) from trendy shops and restaurants on sunset, as well as dodgers stadium. Also just 10 minutes drive from happening downtown. A wonderful place to stay. Will definitely return.
We had a lovely stay at Fortuna - super great room, beautiful house and surroundings, the neighborhood is really nice and so is the land lord. Would love to come back soon, and definitely recommend staying here !
Wonderful place. Clean, safe and close to downtown and silver lake. Plenty of street parking too.
The Fortuna Hotel experience is superb for anyone seeking unique, creative lodging options while in LA for a few days, weeks, or even months.
The property is well maintained and the hosts are great communicators and responsive to their guests.
We have stayed with Fortuna twice and this locations is always our first choice for comfort, style, and convenience while in town.
Fortuna responded to our questions very swiftly and was very accommodating to our change in travel plans. She also attended to our needs very quickly.
The premise is very tidy and is in an excellent condition. I didn't realise the building is more than 100 year old! It is in a safe neighborhood within a close proximity to the major attractions in LA. The only downside is the shower which might be a bit challenging when the weather gets colder.
Fortuna's place is a dream. It is both modern and historical at once; Every detail of this grand house has been tastefully restored and updated to make it feel like a boutique hotel in the heart of the city, yet with a deeply personal, artistic feel. It is clean and peaceful, and has an amazing view of the city from the garden.
Fortuna herself is a gracious and respectful hostess who made sure I was comfortable at all times.
I highly recommend the studio!
