Owl Wood cabin is nestled in a forest glen on Stone Mountain Farm. Miles of hiking trails, flower filled fields, cliffs, ponds, streams and a mini Stone Henge are all a stones throw away. A diverse valley, one mile long and half a mile wide, there's plenty of privacy but lots of room for adventure- At any time you may discover a group of children building fairy houses, stumble upon a flying trapeze or Tai Chi Class class, or wander into the Rail Trail cafe for music under the trees.

The space
This is a comfy cabin, with a nearby shared bathroom- like Glamping- So like camping with a real bed, and a few other amenities. There is electricity but no running water, we have a camp sink in the cabin which you can heat on the stove but this is not a regular house. There is a bath house nearby with two showers and two toilets, comfy and for the adventurous.

You're welcome to hike the grounds. If you come upon a rehearsal, class or workshop please maintain a respectful distance or if it seems appropriate ask if you can join in.

We are a family. Robin and Stephen bought the land in the 60's and turned it into an intentional community that hosts outdoor hiking, art classes, theater and dance. We are also home to the Center for Symbolic Studies, a non-profit healing and performing arts center based on the works of Joseph Campbell and Stone Mountain Counseling Center a therapy and traumatic brain injury healing center. We are now called Stone Mountain Farm NY. We look forward to introducing you to our beautiful home!
