Great quirky place with a few extra touches such as flowers and milk and juice in the fridge. Great location and Lindy was great to deal with. Would highly recommend if you want something a little different in the heart of Surry Hills!
Lindys house is amazing and it was a home away from home while on our business trip. All the lovely little special touches she left made our stay even better.
The house itself has so much to offer and we were absolutely amazed that we had so many great restaurants and shopping right at our doorstep. Location, Location, Location!!!
We would definitely stay again and highly recommend
The Oasis truly is an exceptional place to stay, as the listing describes well it has a great combination of indoor and outdoor space.
Outdoors we loved the terrace for breakfast each morning and the courtyard gives the place a magical tranquility. Indoors the living room is comfortable and cool even on the hottest days, the kitchen is well equipped and stocked with condiments, and the beds are all comfortable.
Surry Hills has a very nice feel with a choice of restaurants, delicatessens, coffee shops and boutique stores. There's also an excellent ice cream parlour that is so good people queue outside at 10-11pm. All of this literally within a few minutes walk.
Also the connections to all the major attractions of Sydney were great. We often strolled down the hill to catch the train from Central station, and you will never wait more than a few minutes for a taxi on Crown street which is less than a minute from the Oasis.
All this means it's best to stick with public transport rather than hiring a car, parking in Sydney is not easy with problematic time restrictions everywhere.
Lindy was very welcoming and made us feel we were home from home. Little touches like a bowl of fruit in the dining room, toilet roll in the bathrooms etc, make a big difference.
All things considered we are delighted with our choice to stay at the Oasis and would highly recommend it to others.
Lindy is very helpful through the reservation process. We are excited about our trip to Sydney and the lovely apartment as Lindy had sent us the photos of her place.
When we arrived in Sydney, I have received a call to inform us that the place had been cleaned up and ready to move in. The whole experience stay in this place was really great! We felt like home as Lindy's place is really cosy and made us feel homely! There is fresh flowers everywhere in the house.
My friends and I really love to hang out at the living room area with the sweet aroma of fresh lilies and jazz music. Kitchen is also well equipped for us to do breakfast and light cooking.
It is really an awesome stay, just that as we travel in a group of girls so there is a lack of mirrors~
We definitely recommend Lindy's place if travellers are looking to stay in some where cosy and to feel like home.
It is always great to have a good place to rest after a tiring day of traveling and sightseeing, especially to somewhere that makes you feel comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay at Lindy's apartment: fantastic location (lots of cafés, bars, delis), easy to reach with public transport, the place itself is quiet and has lots of character (we loved the tree in the middle of the house!) and there were fresh flowers in each room - we highly recommend! A suggestion for the summer: what about installing large mossies nets - the ones suspended above the bed? romantic and useful. :)
Lindy's home is a secret oasis in the heart of Surry Hills, with literally minute walk from the action and still provide a quiet retreat after long day exploring Sydney. I especially like the big open courtyard in the middle of the house and the well equipped kitchen, which allow us to make a hot meal of two. A very very comfortable stay indeed. I will recommend this house to anyone who like to stay in Surry Hills.
