I really enjoyed my stay here. Erika is a very nice and thoughtful host and was always happy to help or give recommendations. The apartment is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, just a few minutes from the beach, several supermarkets and a lot of other Long Beach attractions. I did not have a car but had no problems getting around by foot or by bus. The room is very spacious and clean and the same goes for the bathroom. I can definitely recommend this place!
Erika was very kind to accommodate me last minute. She gave me a discounted price for her living room was having repairs done. This is only the place for you if you are a heavy sleeper or stay up all night. Erika doesn't live there; you will be staying with her roommate who is very sweet, but lives the life of a 21 year old and stays up late talking on the phone. It was nice to be able to make coffee in the morning and use the WiFi before heading out. The condo is situated in an older, historic area of Long Beach. The parking was easy on weekdays, but was more difficult on the weekend. I suggest bringing your own pillow, hand soap, and ear plugs. Also, the little black hairs in the shower made me feel like the whole place probably wasn't cleaned, just wiped down. The situation might be different when the place isn't under repair, but to me, cleaning the bathroom or taking out the trash/recycling has nothing to do with the living room.
Erika is a good host. We went out to dinner on my first night, also walked through a nearby park with lovely trails, and she arranged for her friend to take me out kayaking. The condo is a short walk to the beach and the park; it's near local cafes, restaurants and grocery stores. Also a short bike ride to downtown Long Beach and Belmont Shores.
Erika's apartment is on second floor of pleasant four-story building in a nice residential part of Long Beach. In fact, Retro Row is a surprising and fun bunch of vintage and retro second-hand shops on 4th Street a short walk away. The apartment has beautiful wood floors, well-equipped kitchen and lovely bedroom and master bathroom (with shower only). A second bathroom used by her tenant has a bathtub. Erika's home is nicely appointed, and I found her a gracious host. This was my first time trying Airbnb and I was her first guest. I give her five stars, and I hope she is pleased with me as a visitor.
Erika is a very thoughtful host! Her place is super nice. It is pretty close to the beach, so that was good, too. Most of all, though, it was an easy visit because of the little details that Erika provided in addition to being an excellent conversationalist. Kudos to Erika for a great stay!
Erika was a very gracious hostess and was very generous in sharing her kitchen and cookware, utencils, etc.
The room is very quiet and comfortable with a very nice bed.
It's located in a very charming neighborhood. Parking was excellent.
The location is great if you are visiting Long Beach or want something between LA proper and Orange County.
I would definitely stay here again!
My stay was enjoyable and the location was very workable for the activities I had planned. The accomodations were pretty much as advertised and the host was kind and helpful.
I had a car and at times, parking was a challenge. So if you need a car, I recommend a small one!
For the price I paid, there was good value.
It was an excellent location for the Long Beach Marathon. Nice local stores and restaurants within walking distance. Large master in a quiet neighbor. Erika was a great host.
Erika accommodated my late arrival, and finding her place in the dark was easy. I enjoyed our intellectual conversations and her guidance in my journey trough Long Beach. My first time in Long Beach and I felt secure, safe walking around in the neighborhood. The beach, coffee shops, boutiques, food, museum, all very walkable. I was able to access the web and slept soundly, no sirens to wake me up. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Erika.
Erika is a tremendous host with a big heart. She is very accomodating and her place is wide and spacious. Thank you Erika!
