Lovely private one bedroom garden suite apartment self contained with kitchen. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, miicrowave, and cooking utensils. The shower (no bathtub) is separate from the w.c. The bedroom is a large room with a big closet. It is private and has a door and is separate from the living room.
It is 3 blocks to the quaint West Portal Village with restaurants, shops and a movie theatre. Close to transportation, 15 minutes to downtown by MUNI. Golden Gate Park, the Golden Gate Bridge and the ocean are close-by.

Wonderful restaurants are all over San Francisco but a few gems are close by.
Our place is special because it is private, close to amenities and in a great neighborhood that is extremely safe. There are no stairs as this is a first floor suite and there are handicapped grab bars in the w.c. and shower area.

Interaction with Guests
I meet and greet. If they want information, they are welcome to send me an e-mail or even talk to me.
Other than that, they have their privacy.
West Portal is a great neighborhood.
There are lots of restaurants, nail salons, a movie theatre, banks and easy access to transit for dowtown.
From West Portal, it is easy access to downtown and Fisherman's Wharf and most of the tourist areas. From 19th Avenue (which is a 3 block walk) easy access to #28 bus which takes you to Golden Gate Park and the Golden Gate Bridge.
I expect my guests to respect my property.
I will not tolerate sneaking in extra guests without notification and payment.
Sheila made us feel totally welcome. The location is perfectly placed and in a wonderful area. The place itself is very clean and has everything you need.
This was my first experience with airbnb and I was very pleased. Sheila was a gracious host, the place was exactly as described, conveniently located, and nice and spacious. The breakfast supplies Sheila provided were greatly appreciated. I would certainly recommend this Sheila and her place to my friends and family.
Everything was lovely, had a great realxing time. Apartment was nice and cozy neighborhood was quiet!
Very polite host, quick communication. Unit was as advertised, special care taken to have a few essentials around - eggs, tea, etc.
The experience here was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better arrangement. I used "instant" booking to reserve Sheila's apartment for my mother who was visiting from out of town. The logistics went very smoothly -- from our arrival to our departure. The apartment is spacious, warm, clean, cozy and very peaceful. There's a nice garden/patio right outside, and it's just a short walk to the restaurants, library, bookstore, cafes of West Portal (and the public transportation of 19th Ave as well). A great location, particularly for someone who wants to be on the west side of the city. And, Sheila's a very pleasant and gracious host who is both available for questions and gives guests their privacy. We had a great experience. We would definitely enjoy staying here again. Thank you, Sheila!!
The apartment was just beautiful and well stocked. It was roomy and very comfortable. I would highly recommend.
Sheila was a most helpful hostess . The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and very well equipped. We we're delighted to have fresh fruit, coffee , and milk awaiting us. There is a lovely courtyard . The location is so convenient to the shopping area with many restaurants and shops. Sheila provided a map and tour book. She assisted us with travel directions. A quiet and very pleasant neighborhood to walk through . We would recommend it highly and hope for a return visit .
I am retired from working for the City and County of San Francisco.
I have been hosting international students and love it. I have met people from all over the world and love hearing about their customs and sharing ours and also this wonderful city with all it's adventures.
I love traveling and have been to many continents. Asia will be in the near future.
I am taking classes at San Francisco State to keep my brain activated.
