Chalet Nine – The Art House is a luxury retreat that combines modern comforts with original fine art, just steps from historic downtown Crested Butte.

Located only two blocks from Elk Avenue, guests enjoy easy access to the best restaurants, shops, and festivals, as well as hiking and biking trails right out the door. Tucked into a quiet corner of the upper west side, Chalet Nine is both convenient and wonderfully peaceful.

The space
In collaboration with Oh Be Joyful Gallery, the home doubles as a rotating art gallery. During your stay, you can simply enjoy the collection or purchase original works by nationally recognized artists. Each piece includes information for guests, and the artwork rotates regularly to keep the home fresh and inspiring. You can also visit Oh Be Joyful Gallery in town to find a memento or centerpiece for your collection.

Fully remodeled in September 2020, Chalet Nine is designed with indulgent features you’d expect in a high-end mountain home. Multiple fireplaces, heated bathroom floors, steam shower, spacious storage, a private hot tub, and gorgeous mountain views—including Mt. Crested Butte—make this property one of a kind.

The main-level master suite features a king bed, cozy fireplace, flat-screen TV, deep soaking tub, heated bathroom floor, and a glass-enclosed steam shower. Upstairs, you’ll find another king bed along with a full and twin tucked under the eaves, perfect for a family. This suite includes an en-suite bathroom with heated floors, a shower, and an office space with a standing desk and printer. On the lower level, the second master suite offers a king bed, en-suite bath, and private hot tub access. The lower level also includes a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, each equipped with its own reading light and charging station, as well as a media room with sectional seating and a big screen TV with Roku.

The gourmet kitchen is a chef’s dream with a six-burner gas stove, double ovens, and a marble island that seats five. It is fully equipped with drip and Keurig coffee makers, a pellet ice maker, blender, crockpot, toaster, built-in microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Adjacent to the kitchen is a spacious dining table for 8+, and the living area features a plush sectional centered around a large gas fireplace with Smart TV.

A dramatic triple-pane glass wall opens the kitchen, dining, and living spaces to a large deck that doubles your entertaining area. The deck includes a dining table for 8+, a gas grill, comfortable seating, a cozy firetable for evenings under the stars, and stunning views of Mt. Crested Butte.

Additional conveniences include a beverage bar on the lower level, a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer, iron and board, high-speed internet throughout, and bikes available for guest use (2 adult and 2 children’s). Parking is easy with three head-in spaces in front and one alley-access spot in the back. The bus stop is also within walking distance, making it simple to arrive, park, and leave your car for the week.

For your safety, there are security cameras at the front and back doors. Sorry, no pets are allowed at this property.
