About this listing
We have a beautiful space by the ocean, surrounded by forest and fields. Our shala is the perfect place to disconnect from the busy world. Perfect for anybody who is seeking time for themselves, a quiet immersion in nature, or a yoga teacher who wants to have a workshop. The space is also open to other activities, but we do not allow food or shoes inside.
The shala is a space for yoga groups to come and practice, or for individuals to practice in their own private yoga studio. Here you will be surrounded by beauty, privacy and peace. Our shala has an atmosphere of perfect tranquility to help you connect with your heart.
Accommodation is not included with the shala. However, we have several rental spaces available on our property. They are nearby the shala but far enough away to give you privacy. We can accommodate comfortably groups up to twelve people plus a workshop's teacher/spiritual guide. Please see our other listings for details of accommodation here. If you choose these rentals, use of the shala is free for the duration of your stay.
Practice yoga, meditate or simply relax with an amazing view of dolphins jumping in the water, observing the multitude of changes in weather conditions, which often bring rainbows.
We have very few neighbors, and none of them are nearby. There are no noises besides those of the sea, the wind, and ocean birds
Our shala is truly a piece of heaven. Unique and magical, it is naturally constructed with exposed local wood beams cut from our forest.
Vegetarian, vegan, raw (or any combination) meals can also be provided, all made with love and the fruits of our garden and our neighbors' farms. For seafood lovers, the island offers the freshest imaginable ingredients, and meals based on local oysters, crab, mussels, clams and fish can be cooked for you. Fees may vary depending on the type of meal.
Other activities that can be arranged are: sea kayak excursions, bike trips, cooking classes, bird-watching, weaving/knitting, and treks along the nearby rugged Pacific Coast. Just ask for details!
About the Host, Sandra
Seventeen years ago my husband Britt and I came to Chiloe. He is from upstate New York and I am from a small town in the beautiful highlands of Peru.
We began our life together by building a boat. Then came the house, three beautiful girls, dogs, chickens and now a cat.
We have three gorgeous guest houses we have built by hand. My passion for yoga led us to build a beautiful yoga shala by the sea. We are happy to share it all with open-minded, honest people.
