The Space

My flat is located in Friedrichshain, Wismarplatz. I'm just a few minutes walk from U-Bahn U5 Samariterstraße and S-Bahn Ostkreuz. There are tram (21) and bus (240, N40) stops directly at the door, and a hotel next door, so you'll rarely need to call or wait for a taxi If you need one.

The apartment and street are very quiet, but still within a 5 minute walk of all the essentials - banks, supermarkets, great cafes, boutiques, bars, restaurants, a couple of really nice 'weinladen', and all manner of hang outs. Boxhagener Platz is just one block away, and they hold a fantastic fresh produce market every Saturday and a flea market on Sundays. If it's nightlife you're after, all of the well known clubs are within a 20-minute journey, and you can literally walk to Berghain in around 15 minutes.

The flat is one room, 45m2, fully-furnished, and on the top (4th) floor of the building. It's east facing so is very light and bright, and is furnished in typical Berlin flohmarkt/street style - with a desk, sofa, coffee table, lamps etc. The apartment is very clean and fully equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, bathtub and internet connection. There is no TV, but I do have a projector and speakers that can hook up to a laptop, and some vinyl records, which you are welcome to listen to :)

It's a long-term sublet (I've been here for almost three years) and my landlord keeps her belongings locked in the bedroom (the door you can just see to the right of the bed). There is no access to this room - only to the main room that you can see in the pictures. This room is, however, big, comfortable, cosy and has plenty of character.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

House Rules

My apartment is my little haven. I hope that all my guests feel as welcome and comfortable as I do in my home.

However, there are a few ground rules:

- No smoking

- This is a home, and not a location for an after-party

- My neighbours are awesome, so please be respectful of them. If you want to stay up late go for it! But keep the music/chat/noise at a friendly level after 10pm and before 9am

- I have an awesome sofa. It's a very nice vintage single piece made of light grey suede. It's super comfortable, so I encourage you to sit and nap on it. However please be aware of the of things that can stain it, and leave a bit of distance between them and said sofa

- No downloading of copyright films/music/books! This one is a bit random but German authorities are super serious about policing and doling out very expensive punishments for this. Streaming is fine, but please no dodgy downloads!
