The deluxe room with ensuite bathroom is double (or twin) room with elegant style and it’s very spacious that allows the possibility of an extra bed.

The residence is situated in the heart of Florence, it 's just 3 blocks from the Santa Maria Novella train station and Fortezza da Basso, the centre of all events in the city. Only a few minutes walk from the famous Duomo, the Cappelle Medicee, the Accademia and Uffizi museums, and all main attractions of Florence.
The B&B was recently renovated with spacious and comfortable rooms with free WiFi, TV, linen and towels, heating, air conditioning. The two shared bathrooms, always very clean, are equipped with all the soap products, shampoo, hairdryer , etc. We can give access to a private bath for families with children and for people who require it but only in some periods of the year.

  • We stayed 2 nights with Veronica and her lovely family. We were made to feel welcome and they were so helpful with information, city maps and sightseeing. Our room was in character with the old style area and very comfortable with antique furnishings. We had the use of two shared bathrooms near our room. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this B & B to anyone wanting to be in the market/central area of Florence. Thank you for having us Veronica.

  • This was our favorite Airbnb place to stay on our 5 weeks in Europe. Veronica was amazing, so nice and full of helpful information. She sat down with us when we got there and with a map of Florence showed us where everything was, even the best pizza and gelato (Gusta really was the best pizza we had in Italy). The apartment is in a perfect location, easy to get to all the major attractions and super close to the bus and train station. We had shared access to the kitchen and were able to cook our own dinner and relax on the small veranda. We met Veronica's husband Nycolas and he was very nice too. The only thing that was a tiny bit bad was the noise on the street outside but they provided ear plugs to help with that :) Would definitely stay here again!

  • The rooms were large and lovely and very clean. Veronica and Nicholas were very conscientious and accommodating. The location is very good for access to the train station and sightseeing. However the street noise was really a problem for us. We had a very hard time sleeping because of it and so would caution about this as a concern. They are seem to be very busy so maybe this not a problem for others but it was for us.

  • The stay was comfortable and the Martin family was always easily available upstairs if needed. We really appreciate that we were able to leave our bags in the room while we toured Florence on our last day as nobody was checking-in behind us. This let us enjoy more time in the area before catching a train to Rome. The train station is very close and easy to get to while carrying bags. That was nice. I saw reviews from others mentioning the sound of the market getting setup in the morning was annoying. We could hear it, but was not a horrible experience. If you are concerned, bring ear plugs and you will have no issues. We didn't feel the need to use ear plugs. The location is great too!

  • My wife and I spent 2 nights at Residence Martin. It was a great experience, couldn't have asked for better.
The room is in a apartment of 4 bedrooms i think. Large kitchen with big fridge where you can store your things. Nice balcony where you can rest and have a cool drink in the evening.
Veronica was waiting for us when we arrived. she gave us the tour of the place and gave us maps of the city and made sure we know what not to miss. she also gave us recommendations on restaurants in the area.
The place is located close to the action. we walked everywhere from the apartment.
The rooms were really spacious and clean, just by the leather market.
I would recommend anyone going to Florence to stay at Residence martin.

  • It gives you the flavor of Florence . It is upstairs from the Market. We just loved it.!they start setting up carts at 6 am. They market is all day. Has some great values especially before they close at 7 pm. Must haggle over price in market. They then clean the streets about 9 pm. It is very close to the train station and many restaurants. There is a kitchen if you are on a budget. Four rooms and 2 baths. We never ran into trouble using the bath rooms. We only Ran into two girls from Singapore once and had a great visit. The bed was great and the pillows. Veronica is just wonderful. If steps are an issue this is not for you. If noise is a problem she provides ear plugs. I was so tired I slept right thru the setting up in AM. I will definitely stay there again.

  • Nice flat in an excellent location. This listing is a room in a large flat with several bedrooms (listed separately here) with a shared dining area, kitchen, and terrace. All guests also share two bathrooms.

It is a quick walk from the main train station, and within easy walking distance of the main sights in Florence. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop in the few blocks surrounding the flat, and it is directly above the market area.

Veronica (email hidden)--she shares plenty of information and gives good advice. She may recommend her husband's restaurant Nerone, which we really enjoyed. The Martins live upstairs, so they are available if you have any needs.

It occurred to us that this would be an especially good place for large groups that might occupy all the bedrooms, though I'm sure that would require plenty of advance notice.

  • Veronica and her family are great hosts!. She lives upstairs and is available to meet your needs as and when required. They are a cute family! Veronica took the time to explain the nearabouts and make recommendations on what to see and where to eat. That was really nic and helpful of her. The room was very nice. It was spacious and the bed was large! I really liked that. There are four rooms on that level. There are 2 bathrooms to be shared between all those rooms. One bathroom is larger than the other. We didn't have any problems getting to use the bathrooms when we needed. There was a family if 4 coming the day before we left but looks like they were still sleeping when we needed to use the bathrooms, plus it was a little early-8:30am. I don't think that the bathrooms will ever be a problem. Everyone is nice and accomodating! The kitchen was nice and very clean. There are coffee and some juices in the fridge for all to use. They have a small patio/balcony kind of space which is nice. nice and peaceful:) one of the bedrooms window opens on to that balcony I believe. Also our window opened onto the street which is a busy flea market kind of shopping area. the city cleaning trucks come in and I think all is done and over with by 8:30 pm or so. So it was good in the evening. Also Veronica provides you with coupons to this cafe right next door for breakfast. One for each day per person. The cafeteria is nice and family run! They ar also very polite and courteous like the Martins :) We usually got croissants and coffee. They were nice and fresh which is typically the case in Italy if you go before 11-11:30 am or so. Also right next to it is the central market. The best thing ever. Local vendors of fresh produce, meat, bread, dolci, convenience goods, and even some lunch places offer the best quality you can buy and good prices. We always picked up something from there. We got fresh salami vaccuum packed to bring back to the US. Along with some parmegianno regianno. So overall A very pleasant and nice stay and great people make this place a great accomodation if you want to see a lot of Florence and want to cone back to a comfortable bed that is in waking distance to almost everything and stay with a wonderful family :)
PS: th have wifi in your room (with the worlds longest password! LOL!) there is a tv in the room but has basic channels and in Italian only.

  • Nycolas and Veronica (email hidden)! The place is very close to the Florence central station. It is within walking distance to the Duomo, the ponte vecchio, basically it is in the heart of Florence.

Veronica was extremely helpful. She introduced us to all the best spots in Florence and Tuscany. Nycolas, her husband is the chef of Trattoria (email hidden) to eat local florentine cuisine.

We enjoyed coming to the apartment after a long day of traveling around the city and beyond. The place was very accommodating, quiet, and the room was spacious! We recommend staying at Residence Martin. Thank you for your hospitality!
