I never intended to leave feedback on the hellish trip we had to Robert & Becky Koenigseder's Family Ski Condo Retreat w/view - but with Robert wanting to engage in mud slinging - so here goes - we inquired about the availability of the condo on 12/22 and Robert replied saying it was available- we booked it from Dec 27th to Jan 1st...On arriving at the condo we immediately noticed that the condo was not clean (it was totally dirty from the stay of the previous occupants). We noticed the following:
- - The floors of the condo were dirty
- - The bathrooms were dirty (poop stains in the commodes)
- - There was no bed linen and pillows were thrown on the floor
- - Dirty bed linen were thrown in the bath tubs
- - The kitchen counter had dirty stains
- - The sinks had stains where the previous occupants had brushed their teeth and there were tooth paste stains from their spitting over the sinks
- - As a whole the condo was extremely dusty and there were dead moths and flies on the window sills
- - Carpets were dirty – had crumbs from the previous occupants and were not vacuumed
We have photos to prove the condition of the condo - after travelling over 13 hours with 2 kids - the owner agreed that he screwed up - we offered to email the photos to the owner - but he refused to take our calls or look a the photos and in his email he said " It is not uncommon for rooms in hotels of all quality levels to ask that their guests wait for a short period for rooms to be made ready. I don't care what your pictures show.I have been rentI have no desire to have a phone discussion with you or your wife" To make a long story short I would suggest the owner look at Airbnb's - Hospitality Standards. We had to scramble to find accommodation at the last minute. And since the owner refused to take our calls - we had to get Airbnb to mediate and get our issue resolved. We have rented quite a few times from (website hidden) and have had no issues...
My cleaning crew and I had a missed communication. The condo was not properly prepared for the Ramchand's arrival. I apologized profusely to them for the error. The cleaning crew was there within minutes and it would have only taken 1-1 1/2 hours to prepare the unit.. I offered to buy them a dinner of their choice while they waited and also offered to make an adjustment to the rental. But the wife was nearly hysterical. She could only scream at me and the cleaners. They returned the key to the condo manager and were rude to him as well. With this sort of behavior I can understand "hellish trip" comment. Also, this is the reason I was not interested in talking with them later. I referred Airbnb to contact then to arrange some sort of settlement. Mistakes are made and I am truly sorry this event happened It is distressing because this is the only negative I have received in 5 years of renting our vacation home to dozens of families.
Very relaxing condo, well equipped and great for our family of 5. We thoroughly enjoyed angel fire and the condo was very close and convenient!
Great cabin to stay in while in Angel Fire! Very close to slopes, and was very clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable and the couches with the tv were a great way to recuperate after a long ski day. Neighbors very quiet and respectful. We had two couples and three kids stay in this cabin and it was still a comfortable space. Would definitely stay in again as we thought this was a great deal for the money!
We really enjoyed our stay at Robert and Becky’s condo. It was clean with fresh linens and towels, and very well equipped. We had brought with us all of the ingredients and were able to cook delicious meals every evening.
There were DVDs in the cabin and we enjoyed watching movies, while sitting in the comfortable reclining arm chairs.
The cabin is located at the ski area and there is a shuttle to get to the lifts. We used our car because it was too long for our kids to go with their ski boots.
We will happy to revisit Robert and Becky’s condo on our next ski trip to Angel Fire.
This was a very nice condo at a very good price. Close to the Angel Fire ski lifts. We would stay here again and will refer our friends. Very nice and friendly owners.
