This is our family retreat and as such we expect it to be treated gently and it is non smoking. You will feel right at home in our cozy home away from home. All you will need is to enjoy. We will conditionally allow pets. Thank you for your interest.
THIS IS A NON SMOKING CONDO. . As this our retreat there are personal effects which we do not want disturbed. All food staples, spices, etc are available and have been inventoried so when we come we know what to bring. We only ask that you replace what is used. We do not provide firewood which can be purchased several places in town. If you find anything that needs attention or if you have suggestions please let us know. Pleas follow the guidelines in the "house manual" this will help us to not charge for cleaning. Thank you and enjoy your stay.
Our stay was very enjoyable. We brought 4 18 to 22 year olds.
The condo was well kept and well stocked with most items you would expect to have in your home. The tv was a bit tricky as we didn't realize not every tv had its own cable extension. I figured out the extender pretty quick. Just a quick reference to the Internet...while there is Internet, it is used by the entire unit. There is essentially no "room" to get on. The cell tower is even more useless on ATT, but we're there for vacation so I shouldn't be on it
We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was clean, and close to the chairlifts. Communication with the host is very easy, and they have good written instructions for everything. Parking was a little tight in a truck, but you really need four wheel drive - especially with the snow we had. The movie collection was great entertainment for the kids. The wifi was the only thing that was lacking. There really was none to speak of - cellphone data ended up being way faster. We would stay here again.
One last thing to note is that the stairs are really steep - more of a ladder, and only one bedroom is downstairs. The bed that looks like it's in it's own room is part of the loft upstairs.
The reservation was canceled 105 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a lovely stay at Robert and Becky's condo. Robert was really easy to work with, which made the logistics of our lodging experience extremely smooth and worry-free! The bed set-up was perfect for our family and our kids loved the loft area. It was also really nice to be so close to the ski area. We had a really great time and look forward to coming back! Thank you so much for everything!!
I never intended to leave feedback on the hellish trip we had to Robert & Becky Koenigseder's Family Ski Condo Retreat w/view - but with Robert wanting to engage in mud slinging - so here goes - we inquired about the availability of the condo on 12/22 and Robert replied saying it was available- we booked it from Dec 27th to Jan 1st...On arriving at the condo we immediately noticed that the condo was not clean (it was totally dirty from the stay of the previous occupants). We noticed the following:
- - The floors of the condo were dirty
- - The bathrooms were dirty (poop stains in the commodes)
- - There was no bed linen and pillows were thrown on the floor
- - Dirty bed linen were thrown in the bath tubs
- - The kitchen counter had dirty stains
- - The sinks had stains where the previous occupants had brushed their teeth and there were tooth paste stains from their spitting over the sinks
- - As a whole the condo was extremely dusty and there were dead moths and flies on the window sills
- - Carpets were dirty – had crumbs from the previous occupants and were not vacuumed
We have photos to prove the condition of the condo - after travelling over 13 hours with 2 kids - the owner agreed that he screwed up - we offered to email the photos to the owner - but he refused to take our calls or look a the photos and in his email he said " It is not uncommon for rooms in hotels of all quality levels to ask that their guests wait for a short period for rooms to be made ready. I don't care what your pictures show.I have been rentI have no desire to have a phone discussion with you or your wife" To make a long story short I would suggest the owner look at Airbnb's - Hospitality Standards. We had to scramble to find accommodation at the last minute. And since the owner refused to take our calls - we had to get Airbnb to mediate and get our issue resolved. We have rented quite a few times from Homeaway and have had no issues...
My cleaning crew and I had a missed communication. The condo was not properly prepared for the Ramchand's arrival. I apologized profusely to them for the error. The cleaning crew was there within minutes and it would have only taken 1-1 1/2 hours to prepare the unit.. I offered to buy them a dinner of their choice while they waited and also offered to make an adjustment to the rental. But the wife was nearly hysterical. She could only scream at me and the cleaners. They returned the key to the condo manager and were rude to him as well. With this sort of behavior I can understand "hellish trip" comment. Also, this is the reason I was not interested in talking with them later. I referred Airbnb to contact then to arrange some sort of settlement. Mistakes are made and I am truly sorry this event happened It is distressing because this is the only negative I have received in 5 years of renting our vacation home to dozens of families.
Very relaxing condo, well equipped and great for our family of 5. We thoroughly enjoyed angel fire and the condo was very close and convenient!
Great cabin to stay in while in Angel Fire! Very close to slopes, and was very clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable and the couches with the tv were a great way to recuperate after a long ski day. Neighbors very quiet and respectful. We had two couples and three kids stay in this cabin and it was still a comfortable space. Would definitely stay in again as we thought this was a great deal for the money!
We are a semi retired couple who love to travel. We are college degreed non smokers. Our profiles are listed on Face-book. I have owned auto repair franchises for over 35 years and Becky retired from an airline. Not only do we travel with Airbnb but we also have listed our family condo in Angel Fire New Mexico. . We love staying in privately owned lodging as the attention given to these units are excellent.
