Welcome! The Lil' Red Farmhouse has a clean rustic lodge feel and is super easy to settle into. Enjoy the full vintage kitchen and bathhouse. We are centrally located one mile from Kehena black sands beach, fifteen miles to Kapoho tide pools for snorkeling, and six miles to the Kalapana lava flow. The house has plenty of room to sprawl out, enjoy a fire on the lanai, laze about in the hammock and star gaze. It is a relaxing place to rest while exploring the wonders of the Big Island.

Wow! If I could give Joe and the farmhouse 10 stars, i would! First of all, Joe is an amazing host. He was generous, and friendly from the start, and he was so helpful with tips about the island and things to do. Secondly, the farmhouse is awesome. It was clean, and airy and br…

Joe’s place was great! Close enough to the main road but secluded enough where you felt really in the jungle. The jungle house was a real pleasure to stay in with modern touches (hot water + wifi) but gives you a real jungle vibe!

For an authentic Hawaii living experience I cannot recommend this place more. Surrounded by green, the sounds of the landscape were a perfect elixir to falling into the local "hang loose" frame of mind and body. Close enough to local hangouts yet distant enough to find peaceful…
