  • Nice place. Good location. Easy to get to, very quiet. Pleasant outlook onto a canal. A range of excellent restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Well equipped kitchen. Fourth floor (usual steep stairs) should be taken into account if considering this apartment.

  • Absolutely great apartment. Loved the view over the river from the bed room and especially waking up with the sun, rising up at my feet! Very convenient location for anyone who is interested in exploring the city not just by public transport but also on foot. Peaceful and calm, equipped with everything one needs for a perfect vacation.

  • Fantastic place in a fantastic location! Quiet neighborhood with everything you need, a bike rental shop, atm, great Thai food, grocery store and only an short bike ride (under 10 minutes if you ride your bike like a local) from Museumplein. This was my third time to Amsterdam and the last two times stayed in the Niew Market area and definitely prefer this location on the Amstelkade canal. Super easy to get to by tram from the airport through RAI. Tal's friend Miriam was there to let us in when we arrived and from then on the place was our home away from home for 5 days. There are four flights of stairs, which was not an issue for us, but it is definitely worth the view to the street. Lots of windows and lots of great light. My wife and I had the most excellent time and will look up Tal and this great place when we return.

  • Tal's home was perfect! It was very easy to access the main city centre by tram but equally lovely to walk along the canals and stumble across many interesting buildings and places by foot when it was sunny and take your time. The bed was comfortable and lovely to wake up and look out of the window at the many people rowing along the canal. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals/breakfast. The bathroom small but again had everything you needed including a great shower. There are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment so be prepared but you get used to them by the end of the trip and almost end up running up them!
We didn't get to meet Tal but was greeted by a friend of his who was lovely and patient! we were given different directions when we arrived at the station so took us a little longer to arrive than planned. Stick to Tal's directions! it's worth buying a tram ticket for your whole duration of the stay as it works out a lot cheaper and nice to know you can just jump on when you've walked yourself out.... there is also a locker facility at the station which was useful for us as we had to leave the apartment in the morning and our flight was that evening so had somewhere to leave our bags....
A great place to stay, quiet and homely and a good base to explore a beautiful city! Thank you... :-)

  • The apartment was great : calm, everything you need in it, the bed is extra comfy, the view on the canal is nice. We didn't meet Tal but he got in touch with us to make sure everything was ok. There's only two downs with this apartment : first the shower is, well, annoying - cold, warm, cold warm and it doesn't have any pressure (I don't know if there was a problem or if it's always like that) - takes hours to wash long hair ! Second, it's not very well located (20 minutes with the tram n°4 to go to the center or a long time walking - the walk is beautiful though). Other than that, it was great !

  • Nice place in a great neighbourhood with lots of cosy cafės, bars and restaurants ranging from fun and 'bruin' to more chic and trendy especially around Albert Cuyp market and on Ferdinand Bol straat and van Woustraat. Beautiful 1920s architeture along the Amstelkanaal. Enjoy your stay!

  • very nice place to stay, good location outside of the center but with walking distance or tram immediatly nearby.
very nicely hosted by tal's friend miriam.
fourth floor with a narrow staircase, a small bathroom but such a great view from the bedroom when you wake up and no noise at all.
I would go back there anytime !

  • This was our first airbnb experience and what a way to start. A lovely flat, very close to all the places we wanted to go in Amsterdam. There's a tram stop just down the road to get into the centre, and de Pijp itself is full of nice cafes and shops.

The apartment is nicely sized, clean and has all the things you'd expect!

There was a nice little sheet explaining everything we needed to do, and though Tal was unable to greet us, his friend was there to meet us on arrival.

All in all a great first airbnb experience, we couldn't recommend it enough.

  • Tal responds quickly and check in/check out is a breeze. The apartment is in a good location - we walked everywhere, but there is a tram that goes straight into center city. Bed is comfortable, views of the canal are great. This place is a 5 story walk up; be careful carrying up your baggage...
