Thierry is a really great host. Provided is with delicious pineapple and bananas.
The location is perfect if you have a car. Gated coumnunity a bit outside of town. Jungle walk right on the property. Great view from the balcony with monkeys coming by. Everything nice and clean.
Definitely would stay there again!
It really lives up to its name! This beautiful, complete, jungle-backyard apartment is in the middle of nature. I had tucans, monkeys, frogs, etc. in the backyard (aka the jungle).
The apartment is perfectly well put with everything that you need with very easy access to Quepos.
Thierry was a perfect host. He diligently follow up on my arrival and every detail he told me about (transportation, prices, food, things to do, etc.) was spot on! BTW, ask him about the best *ceviche* in town. It really is!
Thierry: thanks a lot for everything. I really enjoyed staying at your place and it was exactly (if not more) of what I was looking for.
If I go back to Quepos/Manuel Antonio, I know for sure where I'll be looking forward to stay.
Thierry's place was a perfect ending to my amazing trip to Costa Rica. Conveniently located outside of Quepos, and away from the main tourist strip leading to Manuel Antonio National Park, the apartment was nestled right in the forest area where many animals and birds make their home. There are also a couple of beautiful trails right on the property itself. I really felt peaceful here.
Transportation to Quepos and then on to the National Park was surprisingly easy, as inexpensive buses and taxis pass by the main entrance of the community every few minutes.
Thierry was an amazing host, providing fruits and juices upon arrival, and relevant information regarding the environment and transportation process. He even gave me a quick tour of Quepos on my arrival, and went out of his way to ensure I made an early morning bus back to the San Jose airport on my final day.
Thank you Thierry for a wonderful place, and for being an amazing host!
Thierry came to the bus station and found us, was very accomodating even moved his vehicle around to better help load our luggage.
On previous trips to the Manuel Antonio Area we had stayed closer
to the park, but this time we would be traveling into and through Quepos so we were a little unsure that we would like that. However, Thierry enthusiastically gave us a great orientation about Quepos/Manuel Antonio local transportation options and charges and as it turned out all worked perfectly. That first night he was going back into Quepos after we had rested so he offered to drop us off at Pez Vela Marina to meet our friends at Runnaway Grille for Sunset. Because of his orientation we were easily able to catch a Taxi and return to 'Tennis Club Quepos.'
Just as the ad said, his studio was a great place for a couple of nature lovers like us. A huge bonus for us was access to the private hiking trails where we saw Titi and Capuchin Monkeys, birds including several raptors, colorful tropical frogs and nice views from the mirador. But really you don't have to even leave Thierry's place in order to see wildlife! We saw amazing old growth trees, three types of monkeys, sloths, falcons, toucans, agouti, hummingbirds, flowering tropical plants and more. We were able to have romantic dinners outside on a table and chairs provided and listen to the tropical insects perform at sunset. Inside the room there was no worry that the wildlife would come in.
Thierry's high quality fans helped us sleep comfortably and the well equipped basic kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, and the place had a nice cozy bathroon as well. After several weeks in hostels and guesthouses sharing a kitchen or doing without, the refrigerator was a huge luxury and much appreciated!
Thierry answered our questions and requests but gave us plenty of privacy. We come to Costa Rica most every year, and after two weeks at Nature Lovers --thanks to our cool host Mr. Lambert--its pretty certain that we WILL return ! Merci, Thierry !
I stayed at Thierry's place for 3 nights and the apartment was as it was described. Thierry was very helpful and showed me around Quepos when I first arrived. He had juice and fruit in the room which was a nice surprise. I will definitely be back to stay again. Thank You for everything Thierry!
As everyone says, "Thierrry is great".
Fun to talk to and a big help on great places to go.
The apartment is sort of funky - it could use a biger TV- but is very comfortable.
The water gets hot and is safe to drink, and the bed is very OK, th egungle is right outside the front door. what else do you need.
Thanks Thierry for a great place to stay. If we come back to C.R. we'll stay with you again.
