I usually text or email once you have spent the first night, then I play it by ear. I will keep in touch if you want me to keep you informed about local events and venues, or if it seems like we have interests in common. Otherwise you won't hear from me you unless you contact me first with a problem or question. I do stop by occasionally to check on the garden and exterior areas of the property, and it's nice to catch up if we run into each other. I will never enter the bungalow during your stay without your permission.

There are local bus lines a block away and the Metro Red Line to Hollywood and Downtown is a 15 minute walk from here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carol's bungalow. She could not be present during our trip, but she made sure everything was alright for us and she was reachable quickly by SMS or email. The guest house was clean and equiped with everything we would need. The location is very convinient to visit LA's famous places. We had a wonderful time!
We couldn't have asked for a better set up with Carol. Even though she was out of town and couldn't be there she made us feel like we were right at home. The inside was quaint and cozy. Just enough space for the two of us. We had a lot of fun exploring some of unique landscaping around the house as well as warming ourselves up by the backyard fireplace at night. We became fast friends with some of the tenants in the main house who pointed us in the direction of some awesome places to shop and hang out. Will definitely book again next time I return to Los Angeles.
I had a great stay. The communication was very good and the key delivery one day earlier was no Problem. When a tree branch broke off at check-in, carol was there within minutes to help sort out the Situation. For me it took some time getting used to the Highway right next to it. You can see it out the window, approx. 25 feet., and hear and "feel" it 24/7. But when you're there for vacation you most likely won't be in the Bungalow during the day and at night you can fall asleep with a Little help from the very nearby pharmacy section of the VONS or Ralph's Supermarket. The walk-in shower is amazing and very spacious. The kitchen has everything you Need for a nice breakfast or evening dinner. I loved it. There are lots of extra towels which can be used as curtains if you like to sleep in;)
Carol was very accommodating and friendly, frequently checking in on how things were going (but not too often!). The gardens on/near the premises were super cool, and it was an easy home base for getting around town. The actual guest house was a great size and very nicely furnished, it had everything I needed. Great spot!
My stay at Carol's bungalow was the icing on my week in LA. Carol greeted me at the bungalow even though I did not arrive in LA until late in the evening. The carpet had been freshly shampooed and everything was clean. It was just like in the photos. Carol even went out of her way to secure a juicer for me since I like to juice fruits and veggies in the morning. She told me about the Hollywood farmer's markets where I could shop for fresh produce, which was an amazing experience in and of itself. She checked in via text/email once or twice to ensure that all was well, but respected my privacy.
Even though it was one of the hottest weeks in May, the open windows in the evening allowed for a wonderful cross breeze so that I did not even need to turn on the AC. I met Carol's other tenants and they were all nice and friendly. I am jealous that they get to live their full time!
This was my first AirBnB experience and it was fantastic. It was private and incredibly comfortable. Way better than a hotel. I really liked that it was more than renting a room. It was my private little cottage. The sounds from the freeway did not bother me one bit. I look forward to a future visit to LA just so that I could stay at Carol's bungalow again. Thanks Carol!!!
Carol's place is ideal for one person or a couple seeking privacy and who enjoys cooking. The guesthouse is quaint with beautifully kept vintage pieces, it is immaculate and well stocked for all home necessity. Very conveniently located, we had easy access to the different points of interest in the area. Parking was easy and convenient. We WILL go back for sure! More importantly, Carol is very helpful and checks on her guests while leaving us our privacy. Highly recommend it.
The bungalow is absolutely delightful and Carol is a gracious hostess.
I had prepared a glowing review on the long flight home but got busy
with post-vacation-blues and life and forgot to submit it. I still
stand by the fact that everything is wonderful that I enthused about
in my initial review.
We had a really nice time in Carols Apartment and would be happy to stay there again! :) Awesome place - awesome host!
Carol was a great host with a wonderful bungalow and backyard. Clean, comfortable, nice -- and street parking was absolutely not an issue at all. I enjoyed my stay a lot and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The Bungalow was fantastically perfect. It was very clean, well stocked with the essentials (towels, and cleaning supplies).
Carol is super accommodating, and works with your travel plans/needs. It's a giant party.
